Had a great experience here when an organization rented out the side room and had appetizers served. Staff was attentive and nice.

Enjoyed celebrating with friends! Great venue and great service!

Aside from getting looked at like I was ordering champagne at Hooters when I asked for a Coora Light, we ordered a Chilean Sea Bass entree and a German cockroach fell from one plate onto another as we were being served. The waitstaff was very apologetic but there is no excuse for filth.

I was not blown away by the place. There was a pretty offputting vibe. While I acknowledge we were a large party, service was spotty. Several times had to hunt waitress down. Food and drinks okay. Even with multiple appetizers and entree, was hungry by the end. Maybe should have opted for 7 course experience?
Not a good happy hour place, no liquor. That was verrrryyy disappointing.
Perhaps expectations were high but definitely won't go out of my way to return.

That was FUN! The 7 course chef's table with wine pairings was a treat and a half... and a great server too, Gary! Parking wasn't a problem either with it's own private parking next door.

The owner treats customers extremely poorly. She is very rude and gets offended over nothing.

LOCAL is one of Dallas’ few hidden gems. For 18 years, Chef/owner Tracy Miller is the constant in the kitchen, and it shows in her delightful, simple, but oh so good cuisine. The space, in a historic, converted building in Deep Ellum, is comfortable, cozy, and unique in a city of homogenized restaurants. The wine list is fairly priced, with great finds by the bottle or glass. Highly recommended.

I’ve been coming here forever… it’s simple, the type of place you just go & tell them how hungry you are and they’ll take care of you. They think of everything a neighbourhood staple everyone should try once.

Definitely a 5 star eatery. But bring your big credit card or cash roll. The prices don't diminish the atmosphere and quality of the food. A great place for dinner with a few friends or a romantic evening with the one you love. We'll see if it's in the budget for another visit some time. Great service, great food.

This is by far the best and my favorite restaurant in dallas. It breaks my heart to think this place might be struggling. Tracy Miller should be on top chef! I always recommend it to people visiting Dallas and we try to go or order at least twice. (I wish she would open up a second location in Denver)
