The Rustic Bean Cafe

Ordered a small decaf hot mocha, which was very good. It had a smooth coffee taste with just a hint of mocha. Very friendly staff and good service. Rustic Hill country decore with good seating inside and out. Definitely a place to get coffee and relax.

After reading the reviews, I was excited to try the cinnamon rolls and cookies. There were only 2 rolls in the display case and they were approx. 1/4 the size of those from all other bakeries in my experience, the icing was super hard and looked many days old...at $4.25. There was a pecan cookie that looked to be smaller than 2 in. square...at $3. I kept staring at the sizes and prices because it seemed so wrong. I drove to Startsville to try Kafekali and bought their XL cinnamon rolls($2.95), huge cookies($2-3.50), and muffins. Their display case was full of fresh, appealing offerings, surprising variety and at lower than expected prices!

We asked and were told their coffee special was $3 but we were charged 5.00. Cinnamon roll was dry, old, whole wheat, no icing. When pointed out the mistake of the charge, the clerks doubled down. The younger generation has no customer sense.

Newly opened replaced the rusty spur. Nice for us it is here we now have a convenient cup on the way to work. Friendly staff open early. Reasonably priced and some breakfast choices too, bagels, pastries. They did some nice work on the place remodeling. 2 other businesses right next door.

Atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly, quality just not there. My hot cocoa didn't taste like it had any chocolate in it, my wife's coffee was "mediocre" at best and the Koloches were over re-warmed with chewy breading and a tough sausage. We want to support locally owned shops, and were both disappointed.

I always pass by this place, but today my wife and I decided to give it a try. Happy to support local business especially when it exceeds the competition!

I drink a lot of coffee. This place serves great coffee!

We enjoy the atmosphere here with all the young people they employ. The drinks are all amazing. We have shared breakfast time with our grandson and we enjoy the food.

Could tell our barista this afternoon was new to this position. Got 2 coffees at the driveup, had to drive home, to doctor them up before we could drink them. Not good for business. I like this place alot, so today was disappointing.

Really cute decor. The baristas were very friendly but they hadn't been trained very well and there was a lot of confusion going on behind the counter. But my mocha was fantastic!

Super cute with great coffee, breakfast and sandwiches. Oh yes and several homemade deserts to try from. I go twice a week at least.
