The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy. The barista was super friendly but kept forgetting my order. I would have given the place 3-4 stars if it was not for the overall value. (Pricing, taste and service).

There is no pricing on the menu and I ended up paying over 20 dollars for three drinks (two small and one large). Seemed pretty excessive. I tried this place because of all the amazing reviews but I think there are better places to get your coffee for the price

I saw this place on maps when I was looking up my new doctors office. I decided to stop in and get some coffee for my family on my way home. The coffee was very good (our favorite was the lavender latte) and the pastries were amazing. We are plant-based and this place has a variety of plant-based options including the pastries. The owner is also super nice. I will be coming back.

Sovereign is THE best coffee shop in Brownsville. THE best local coffee shop in the Valley. The baristas are so friendly, they ask about your day and they go above and beyond to give great customer service (something we aren’t known for down here). The passion shows in each cup. There are pre made brews as well if you want something quick. Merch is awesome. Wish they had lemonade/smoothies though. 10/10.

This is going to be my new favorite place! The owner and baristas are so nice and the coffee is fantastic! The lattes, even with added flavors, really highlight the flavor of the coffee. And the vegan pastries are also delicious! You can order omakase style if you can't decide on a drink and they can recommend something tailored to your taste. Love it 🤩🤩🤩

I exclaimed, "Excellent! Excellent", as I was leaving and taking my first sip of my first latte there, and I meant it. I could taste the sweetness of the coffee cherry. Few places in my experience achieve that taste at such a level as Sovereign, at least so far. I plan to go back for a second cup. No pressure!
