All I can say is.... 5 stars and two thumbs way up, not only for their coffee, which is coffee with milk and flavorings, unlike Starbucks that is the complete opposite. But also for the innovative ideas of a concept of decorations and in store experience that's way beyond most coffee shops I've been to. And this is in comparison to Austin Texas yall. Definitely hands down best coffee shop in Bohnam!!! Whether it's coffee you crave, or decadent deserts that drive your taste buds crazy! Stay grounded has the coffee, lunch, desserts and staff that goes over and beyond to make your day better than the coffee you crave!!! You have made a returning customer of my wife and I indefinitely!!!

I just recently moved to Bonham and I LOVE this place! The Bible verse on the cup sleeve and the always friendly service are so encouraging. The coffee is DELICIOUS, and they have options for kids. We love stopping here on our way to run errands. ♡

What a cute little spot! My latte was great! We enjoyed our mini breakfast burritos, as well. We will be back next time we are in town. Staff was friendly and helpful.

What a delightful place! My husband and I were in Bonham for a wedding, and came here on a whim. I have celiac’s and did not think I would be able to find anything gluten free to eat. When we asked they actually had several options! Their coffee was amazing and their breakfast bowl was delicious. It completely made my morning! Everyone working there was super sweet. We will definitely be back even though we live in Arlington :)
My husband loved the cookies too and it’s a perfect place for social distancing.

Great little coffee shop. I visited at least twice while in town. The coffee, hot chocolate, cupcakes, ect. were all delicious.

Dude at the front counter was honestly so nice and down to earth and maybe not what you’d expect to see in Bonham, TX and that was refreshing. We got a Thai tea and iced coffee and both were just as good if not better than versions we’ve had at much bigger places. Thanks for the hospitality.

Stay Grounded is a must visit if you’re in the Bonham area! Their staff is super sweet and attentive. Shout out to the young ladies helping keep this place going! Their drink options are great!
My go to items are the Breakfast Bacon Burritos and the Walk-in Biscuits & Gravy. These are SOOOOOOOO GOOOD! I always comeback for these. If you love sweet chocolatey frappes then you should try the Local Yokal! Highly recommend.

UPDATE 06/15/2022: it's been a while and a close friend wanted to have coffee in Bonham to catch up, so we agreed on Common Grounds. I was hoping the quality issues from the last visit were addressed, unfortunately, they were not.
The iced latte I ordered was so watery, it was hard to believe it wasn't watered down - again. There's no way they're using whole milk or even 2%. The espresso shot was astringent and lacked any discernable qualities of a good espresso. What a bummer!!
I hate throwing away food/drinks, but it was undrinkable. I was really hoping they would aim for serving great coffee,. The closest place with decent coffee is in Melissa (George's).
I also ordered a breakfast 'burrito', and for around $3 I didn't expect it to be massive. But, what I got was more like a taco, rolled up (see pic). Oh well. I'd gladly pay $3 for a large taco, than for a small mini-burrito LOL. It was good and the salsa was excellent. Not sure if the salsa was made fresh, but it tasted like homemade. So, that was a win.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The young lady at the window was pleasant and produced our drinks quickly, BUT (from least to worst):
1) Their 'large' is a 32oz behemoth costing $7 each - not the end of the world, just not what we expected.. oh well.
2) The milk was likely Skim, or (I'd hate to think) they're watering down the milk.. it was VERY watery. Like, iced milk sitting on the counter for a couple hours watery..
3) The worst part, the part we came for, was the espresso shots. They were tannic and astringent, leaving a bitter aftertaste.. bad enough we took 3 sips and couldn't drink any more :(
They have a La Marzocco espresso machine, capable of producing excellent quality espresso - don't ask me how I know ; ) - but what we received, and for the price charged, will likely keep us from returning anytime soon.
Which is sad, we were hoping to find a little gem in Bonham that we could frequent for drinks, lunch, etc.
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really appreciate the reply from the owner. As a small business owner myself, I understand the value of positive reviews (and seek to earn the highest ratings from customers that I can).
I've also owned/operated several coffeehouses, including a small batch roastery, and completely understand the challenge of training, and keeping, great help. It sounds like this is an owner with integrity, based on the candid explanations and lack of excuses - which is refreshing! I have no problem giving the place another try again (although I appreciate the offer, I don't mind paying for what we order). My desire is to provide feedback that helps small businesses, in small towns like this one, get honest feedback that they can grow from. If people say, 'It's great',. but don't come back often or bring back friends.. makes you wonder.
Thank you again for the explanation. We're just down the road, so we'll come back this week and check it out again.

Wonderfully friendly staff, clean and well managed. The chicken salad and Carmel frappes are the best! Stay Grounded is easily the best coffee cafe in North Texas😀
We love it!!🥰😍😋

I'm a pretty hard sell when it comes to my 30-year coffee habit, especially having lived in places like Seattle, Denver, and currently Austin. My in-laws live in this small north Texas town and getting a decent cappuccino or mocha there has been impossible for the two decades I've been going there, in spite of several joints popping up and giving it a shot over that time They always have kind of that small town hoaky type of vibe, trying to do everything in order to survive in that type of location, which I can kind of understand. It's the best option I've ever had in Bonham, no disputing that. For a small town it is certainly better than most. Kudos for the effort. I will certainly be back.
