Flat Track Coffee

Came here during the Austin Marathon. Not running. Plenty of seating due to road closure. Got a latte with almost milk, would say it is in the upper echelon in terms of latte. Very flavorful. Vibe is chill. WiFi decent speed for work.

Loved my drink but my partner's was pretty strong, even for me who is an avid, daily coffee drinker. It slightly burned our throats, not sure if there was pure vanilla extract in it. But great coffee spot! Loved how it doubled as a bike shop.

Wow! Some of the best beans I’ve ever bought. Super oily and make for an incredible cup of pour over. Cool atmosphere as well.

This is my preferred spot to get some great coffee from friendly folks. Love the aesthetic of the inside as well as the secluded patio, and have always had great service in the early afternoons. Enjoy the dog-friendly and suave atmosphere almost daily. Bonus points for sharing a space with a bike repair shop!

Is this what quintessential Austin cool is?

Flat Track is one of the best cafe experiences I can currently remember. The drinks somehow just taste so… good? Both the cappuccino and cortado are nothing short of amazing — the oat milk blends so nicely with the flavor of the espresso, which is perfectly balanced. They do make their cappuccinos on the less foamy side; the steamed milk is silky smooth and so satisfying. Presentation is also always lovely — love their unique cups and masterly latte art.

With half of it being shared with a bike shop, it’s kind of fun seeing people go by with bikes. The cafe isn’t the biggest, and it can get pretty busy. Even when there’s a line, the baristas are efficient and it hasn’t taken very long. There are some shaded patio bench tables outside; inside, there’s an area for merch as well as a number of wooden tables, including some long ones that can accommodate a few people. It can be nice for reading or doing some work if there aren’t too many people. Also, music is on point, at the perfect volume too. Very hip vibes.

While in the area, I went back several times in the span of a couple weeks just to experience Flat Track again. Definitely recommend!

Love this place. Had a funny interaction with the staff, got a great cup o’ joe, an incredible chocolate vegan donut (tiny, but DENSE), and made some friends with a few dogs.
Not tons of seating space, mostly large shared tables or some counter space. Really like the mugs/ceramics they serve from.

Excellent coffee shop and bicycle shop all in one! We walked here every morning from the Heywood Hotel just down the street. Friendly service, excellent espresso and such a unique environment. We loved it!

Small coffee/bike shop with a great vintage feel and selection of coffee and drinks. Beans are roasted locally every week, and they have several great single origin options. I highly recommend the "Mexican Mocha".

It has a very nice ambience 😊 If you are intending to go to this coffee to work keep in mind that the ambience music can be loud so this might be a problem for you. But you can sit on the outside tables if you want.

Sweet sweet coffee - my favorite thing! And this place makes it an even sweeter experience. Excellent coffee - my favorite is the mocha.

The other great thing about here is the vibe. Coffee shop + bike shop. Bring your bike, your friend, your dog - all are welcome. Staff is inviting, and the environment is relaxed and homey.
