...to edit this review so that the 3 stars is understood: the food was amazing, it always has been for the years I have been eating at Cherry Laurel! I don't think I've ever had ANYTHING bad! But the last time I was in (when I originally put in this review) the food was still on par, but the service was probably the worst I have ever had there. That's the only reason for 3 stars. Another customer asked me, as we were waiting for the girl to find change to break a $20 for my order, if the ownership had changed because service had never been like that before. I was there for over 10 minutes just to pick up an order I called in, most of which was waiting for her to find and bring back change...I will get there again because the food is good, but I just hope service from that day was just an "off day" thing.

Such hometown feel , like we stepped back in time . Delight in the best Ruben sandwich , homemade dessert and be sure to get the raspberry ice tea ! Don't skip the soup of the day !!!

We drove over an hour to try this place. We weren't disappointed! Had the Ruben, rated best in East Texas and we agree. Also the Cherry Laurel Salad was delicious. We couldn't leave without dessert - loved the S'mores bars. We will definitely be back. There's plenty more things to try!

I had the half sandwich ( muffuletta) and cup of tomato basil soup, and of course, a large blackberry sage tea. Everything was delicious and so fresh! I’ve tried several things from their menu and have enjoyed all of them!!

I really love this place. I love the fact when you live out of state you can order Birthday or Holiday goodies for your locate family as a surprise. However the 3 rating has to do with the front desk staff. She can definitely be a lot more welcoming and not come off so rude. Sometimes people come in for an order that is a gift and they don't know what it is.

We absolutely love the service, the food and the amazing staff that works so hard to create a welcoming environment that feels like home! Thank you for working as if you are working for the Lord to bless your customers. We are truly grateful and look forward to seeing y'all again!

I had the amazing opportunity to eat food from this establishment for my birthday and saying I loved it is an understatement. THE BEST club sandwich and broccoli cheese soup I have ever tasted in my life. The club was toasted to perfection and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients with each bite. Highly recommend and can't wait to try again.

We sat, waiting for a server, for way too long. She was chatting with a another table, we could tell now you about Walmart's point system, her kids, an upcoming kidney procedure, how everyone that works there is sick and she is basically on her own, etc. We decided to leave and find a restaurant with any degree better of service. As we were leaving, that was when we were asked, by somebody else, if we were ready to order. Very disappointing.

Holy cake pops! Yum. Strawberry, lemon,chocolate! Was looking for something sweet and this bakery popped up on the phone. Check this place out soon. What a treat! Will be back soon.
