Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The chicken noodle soup and French dip sandwich really hit the spot for lunch.

I got the 16 oz London Fog Latte with soy milk and extra caramel, veggie quiche, broccoli salad, and two chocolate chip cookies. The latte wasn’t too small like I thought it’d be, it tasted really good had a very mild flavor, but I couldn’t taste any caramel. The cookies tasted a lil stale but they were really soft and pillowy and only 50 cents so I wasn't mad at them. I had high hopes for the quiche based on the reviews but the egg was lacking seasoning, I didn’t see the salt n pepper packets in my utensils till i was already done eating. I also wished the vegetables were cooked into the egg instead of just on top of it. The cheesy hash brown bottom layer kinda saved it though, and the slice was filling. My favorite item was definitely the broccoli salad. The broccoli was crisp, the dressing was yummy, and I loved the bacon bits. It was literally perfect, wouldn’t change anything abt it. The amount they give you is good too, I’ll be ordering it again for sure. My total was $16.68, I placed a pickup order over the phone and it was ready when I got there 13 min later. Everyone there was very kind, especially the person on the phone.
EDITED: i think the first time i came here i just got really lucky bc i found out today that they dont actually fill the bowl of broccoli salad all the way to the top (check the pics) normally. It sucks bc i love it so much but the normal portion is just so small for the price :(( However, I was extremely grateful to the staff who corrected this for me, I felt like such a nuisance because i know this is something very minor but they were very understanding.
EDITED AGAIN LOL: I just came here again today after a few months and both the potato casserole and the broccoli salad were back to being very generously portioned again, basically filled to the top!! I’m so so so happy, my meal was delicious, filling, and worth the money. Thank you sm carpe cafe! I highly recommend trying their craft sodas, the grape soda is made with real carbonated grape syrup, so delicious and refreshing :)

Enjoyed a delicious coffee in a comfortable, laid back environment. The guy at the counter was quite nice, and engaged in some friendly conversation.
I came back here again and everything is just as good as ever. I've always loved this establishment, and had good experiences.
The food is delicious, and they were careful of my allergies.
I had a roast beef and spinach wrap, and a side of my favorite, the potato casserole, which was tasty as ever! I will definitely be going been again, and love to relax in the atmosphere of Carpe Cafe

Best Gluten Free Quiche and GF Peanut Butter cookie. Also, great staff and great drinks! Also, discovered the GF wraps - yummy!

This was a nice cafe. It had high quality food and very tasty Cinnamon Rolls. They have a good selection of coffee and espresso to choose from, but the drip is a little weak. This is a preference of course and next time I'll get an espresso for sure. Overall, we (Myself and Grayson) enjoyed our time and we feel like we seized the cafe!

Carpe Cafe is a wonderful way to support small business. It also is very closely tied to the art scene in Smyrna as they have art and trinkets for sale. They cover the walls with local art, and you can purchase any of the paintings that you like. More over, they have a box on the wall by the front door that you can use to write letters to our soldiers across the globe. Aside from a small menu it is a wonderful place to go for lunch. From their front windows you can see all of the smyrna depot district and its old faceted buildings. Stop in, have a chicken salad sandwich and relax with a brunch with friends!

How are you a coffee shop that doesn’t understand coffee? You can’t sweeten iced coffee with dry sugar. The quiche was not great and missing a crust. The staff wiped down a table and some how it was dirtier than when they started. Just not good vibes here.

3 stars because the food and coffee were good. The service is terribly slow - like astonishing slow - and the atmosphere was not as expected. That part wasn’t the staff or decor, but the patrons. It’s supposed to support the artistic community yet we got nothing but dirty looks from the few parties present - all pairs doing some sort of Bible study/discussions. I suppose, yeah, all are welcome - but are not required to be welcoming.
