High quality food, nice atmosphere. It’s like a nice local place you’d find in a major metropolitan area, but it’s in Portland. Very tasty food, very legit. The first room at the end of the hallway did smell like a bathroom though. Just sayin

My wife and I found ourselves stopping here on the last leg of a road trip from Southern Florida to Chicagoland. We were actually hoping for a Starbucks, but Milo's appeared to be the only coffee shop in the area.
We could not have been more pleased: outstanding food; outstanding value; outstanding service. Milo's is a real gem.

I love Milos, it is my favorite place to eat it .. Awesome service and food.. They are all so friendly and kind... One recommendation that I don't want to send my eggs back to be well cooked. Thank you.
No matter I will keep going because the food and people are AWESOME..

The food is unbelievably good. There's such depth of flavor, and everything comes together perfectly. Delicious! I am spreading the word far and wide; this place is incredible!

Was able to check off a restaurant from my list...Milo Cafe in Portland, TN. While this is a specialty coffee shop with food it is much more. There are games and books that people can read/play while enjoying the coffee served here...more like a community spot versus just a restaurant.
The coffee...I had an Americano that was really good and the beans used were from a Nashville roaster. I tried the Cuban and it was a solid sandwich served with a side salad and the house potatoes. Now while the sandwich was good...those house potatoes were exceptional. But overall...the lunch special is a solid deal. I need to try and sample the breakfast menu here too.

I use to absolutely LOVE Milo’s when they first opened. Such friendly inviting service….but the last yr and especially today….not so much.
And omg the changes they have made…..smh.
Previously it didn’t matter which side you sat you were taken care of. Now if you sit on the North side you are not waited on, and have to thumb through the menu online to make any orders. And forget about customizing anything. You might as well be eating to go but just inside! You mean to tell me a waiting staff member cant walk through the walkway to wait on customers?
And now the coffee station is in the main side of the restaurant making it even louder than before and taking up valuable table space. The first thing you are greeted with is a large fridge unit cramping the door way. Hope you don’t need wheel chair room you wont fit.
Talk about all the wrong moves. So uncomfortable add aggravating we walked out without even getting a thing.

Absolutely impressed with food and drink options. Service was great. Food was great.

Okay so first up, I have not had much here. I've only been here once. I got one item. This review is about one thing: their matcha.
If you think "oh I'll go and try their matcha"—don't. It sucks. It's the worst I've ever had. Color is dull, and it basically tastes like blended up oreo middles with the most vague hint of matcha flavor. Price is a lot for a "large," too.
Big shock, Dunkin down the road serves something that tastes much closer to matcha (I mean it isn't high end stuff but the flavor is more accurate). This tastes like vanilla cookie cream blended with milk that once sat near matcha 10 years ago.
......Yeah, I can't help it, I was hoping for something way better, haha.
BUT. B. U. T. This likely is NO reflection on their coffee. Most people in Portland haven't had good matcha probably so it's not like they have to prioritize such a relatively niche menu item. So I only knocked one star off of a five star review.
I *do* plan on coming back to try their coffees, and food. They're a COFFEE house so there's no need for me to get all knock-star-off-happy over tea! :) I saw them grind beans fresh for an espresso so I have some confidence that their coffee will be decent or better. So I'll adjust the review on my next trip.
The atmosphere is nice.
There are two counters, go to the one where there are people, natch.
It smelled nice, of course.
(You also get the smell of frying tortillas next door which is delightful, IMO, haha.)
But yeah, prolly go for coffee, don't get their matcha, ew ew ew.

First visit. Excellent food and service. Wait staff was excellent. Friendly. Prices very fair - especially for quality and quantity. Highly recommend.

Great food and even better coffee!
