This place is fantastic and unlike any other dining experience that Iā€™ve had during my 6 years living in Nashville! I was intrigued by the history of the house and love old Victorian homes like this, and my expectations were absolutely blown out of the water when my boyfriend and I decided to have our anniversary dinner here. The whole staff was very helpful and genuinely kind, the food and drinks tasted incredible, and the ambiance was quiet and classy. They even offered us a free desert for the occasion (a warm pan cookie with ice cream) and it was possibly one of the best things Iā€™ve ever tasted! We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend this great spot!

Huge shout out to Sharon.
She took care of us when every restaurant was fully booked for a Bachelor sized party (Saturday Dinner).

She helped us rsvp the wine cellar room. The guys in the group were amazed by the beauty of the place.

Great welcoming team, servers, and bartenders.
Highly recommend.

Fantastic atmosphere, service, and great food! Better than any rooftop restaurant in Nashville.

Dinner was superb from appetizers to dessert. The care and craftsmanship of the food made everything excellent. The lobster dip was amazing and large enough for a meal. The thick cut ribeye was so tender and perfectly cook. Tender asparagusā€¦ I could go on and on anout the food which was matched by the services from curb side greeting, personal escort by Ms Linda and on point attention from Heath and Jack
Definitely added to my Nashville must!

Wow!! Just Wow!!
My fiancƩ and I went to celebrate her birthday. Felt very welcomed from the moment we were greeted while getting out of the vehicle. Valet parking was on point. As we entered the building we were greeted by Ms. Smith and was giving a short history lesson of the place. We went for a cocktail while waiting on our table, bartender was awesome. When we got seated at our table we were greeted by Allan(Allan you are he man). Allan knows the menu and shared his opinion on what to order. The service was incredible. I would highly recommend trying this place.

Well, this one going to be a bit disappointing, unfortunately, particularly for a Nashville local. My family came here for my birthday a few nights ago and were promptly greeted by the valet, who was very personable and shared some of the buildingā€™s history with us and snapped a few photos. Good start. The building itself is unique for Nashville and the interior is very much reminiscent of a slightly rundown, early 19th century, Northeast stately townhouse.

The hostess/manager seated us in a room adorned with an elk head and a gas fireplace directly next to a floor AC vent that was cranking cold air. So much so, that I had to remove my sport coat, lay it on the ground to block the vent, because we were all freezing within the first few minutes of sitting down. Crisis averted. The servers were friendly and attentive, so full marks to Nash and his younger colleague, whose name I cannot currently remember.

I had a ā€˜New Fashionedā€™ to start, which was a below average cocktail. I didnā€™t finish the drink and informed me that I should stick to wine for the remainder of the evening. The beverage program at the restaurant as a whole needs some serious work. Completely unmemorable, multiple drinks on the menu unavailable, and nothing that I would ever seek out specifically again.

The jumbo lump crab bisque was good, a solid bisque/crab meat ratio, but was unusually small portioned for bisque. The Caesar was unnecessarily small portioned, served on a bread plate, and was unfortunately decidedly quite average. On to the entreesā€¦My son, six years old, ordered the salmon, as there were very limited childrenā€™s options (chicken fingers, I believe) He got through about half or his meal, didnā€™t like or dislike. I tried it and agreed it was unmemorable. My wife ordered the pork chop, which was both large and largely flavorless. She finished less than half.

My father and I were hungry and both ordered medium rare 14 oz ribeyes with Standard sauce, asparagus, and mashed potatoes (all a la carte). We were delighted to see lovely, large, thick cut ribeyes both perfectly pink, but our elation turned to tears as both steaks were borderline inedible due to excessive seasoning and extreme saltiness. Within the first few bites, we were grasping for our waters and could taste nothing but salt. I finished less than 1/3 of my steak and my father less than that. $108 in ribeye rendered completely inedible by an unconscionably heavy hand. Unforgivable.

Let me take a moment and say that I personally heavily kosher salt my steaks to achieve a caramelized crust, which, in turn, insulates the steak, particularly if thick, and and allows it to cook in an even and gentle manner. I even brush it with melted butter as it hits the desired temperature which just sets the flavor off.

This was not that. This was not your standard salt crust. This was pure butchery, was wholly unacceptable, and sadly, it ruined our meal. Needless to say, we skipped dessert (on my birthday). We alerted the waitstaff of our dissatisfaction with our meals but didnā€™t push the matter as we were trying to enjoy the evening. No discount or recompense was offered, so we paid the bill, left a generous tip, determined we would not return, and fed the meat to the dogs. They, likewise, did not finish.

The restaurant itself is beautiful set in one of the oldest buildings pre dating the civil war in Nashville, but also has elegant decor and excellent atmosphere. The food was incredible and highly recommend the Porkchop. We came here for a birthday and was happy with the drinks, food, and overall experience.

First class experience for my wife's birthday dinner. Couldn't have asked for a better culinary night out. The Smiths make you feel right at home and the food was just incredibly on point all the way. We'll be back!

Amazing restaurant! The food is out of this world and truly one of a kind. Everything is made from scratch from fresh ingredients. Mrs Smith is the best hostess you will ever meet. She gives such warm and informative greetings. The whole experience is one of a kind.
