J Clayborn's Bakery & Cafe

It was my 3 year anniversary yesterday and they worked with me to deliver some donuts to my beautiful wife! She said they were delicious!

This place is a local treasure - their doughnut recipe is famous. I've enjoyed them since I was a kid, and I'm so glad they're still around. Must try!

Lebanon's best kept secret. They have great breakfast food beyond their great donuts. Service is great. Kat is amazing always friendly

Stopped in here for lunch today instead of going to some place we've already been.

I ordered a sandwich called the "Pork Everest" and let me tell you it was absolutely, uncategorically delicious! The BBQ was perfectly smoked and tender and piled high on thick slice of what appeared to be whole-grain jalapeno bread. Once the meat was piled on, they drizzled some of their house BBQ sauce and some queso over the top! Now, I couldn't decide between that and their BLT because of a little ingredient on their BLT called "bacon jam". I asked if they could just put some of that on the piece of bread first, which they did, then piled the pork on top.

Holy-sweeetened-cured-and-perfectly-delicious-bits-of-pork-slices Batman! I think we can spread some of that "bacon jam" on a donut and call it finished too!

As a side, I chose the hashbrown casserole that was also delicious and piping hot!

Next time I'm in I'm going to see if they'll let me entertain my inner culinary dreams and put a little variation to this "Pork Everest" gift to mankind.

- slice of jalapeno bread slathered with bacon jam
- layer of jalapenos on top of said jam
- layer of sharp, melted cheddar cheese slice to hold them slices down
- Everest pile of pulled pork
- mountain streams of house bbq sauce and queso

BOO-YAH!

Next time can't get here soon enough!

it's a nice backery, ya can get doughnuts, or ya can order a special birthday cake, the buildin is bright, and organized, the bathrooms are clean, the people are very friendly, the parking lot is kinda small, but all in all, it's a nice visit

Awesome baked goods. Really tasty breakfast. This is our favorite place to get an apple fritter!
