The service was very good, and the food was better. They have really good tea,and the atmosphere had a warm and homey feel. A great place to take the ladies in the family, and would be a really cute place for a bridal shower, baby shower, or any other girly thing. I highly recommend this tea room.

It was glorious as usual. Food was delicious
The crackling fire in the hearth gently warmed the room. Service was great. My friend and I enjoyed a conversation catching up with each other's lives. What more could you possibly ask for?

Very cute little restaurant. The food was good and service was friendly and great! They lost a star because I would expect a "tea room" to have tea. The do have one flavor of hot tea that is spiced but not a tea menu or classic tea offerings.

Great place for your girls day brunch. Very southern comfort meets southern home. Imagine brunch at your grandmother's. I enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich. I'm looking forward to trying the other items on the menu.

I actually loved this place for the environment and the tea. last week my daughter graduated from PreK, and both of my grandmothers were in town, which does not happen often. I wanted them to go there while they were here, but that a meant a party of 10. When I came in and asked the older lady for 10, she was very rude and asked if I had called ahead? I asked if I was supposed to and said I'd be happy to take my business elsewhere if it was a problem. She begrudgingly found us a table, but that really set me off. Normally a bigger party is a compliment since we wanted to come there. but if I'm going to be treated like an inconvenience, I won't be in any hurry to come back.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl - the last 20+ years. I’ve always had consistently great service and delicious food. I’ve had my bridal shower and baby shower here. Apple Cake Tea Room holds a special place in my heart, and the hearts of my family and friends.

You know that China cabinet your grandma has? The one with the chipped sides and faded pictures of dead people in it and a thousand figurines of random forest animals? Yeah, that's cabinet threw up on this place. The decor is I guess typical for a tea room? Idk, I've never been to another one ( I came here for a group event). The orange tea was really good, especially when we added peach schnapps to it (they don't serve alcohol there). I had the one vegetarian options. It was underwhelming but good. The fruit salad was gross though. Looked they they took a bunch if Dole fruit cups and mixed them together. The staff was friendly, but kind of rushed us a bit. I guess they're not used to patrons under 45. The Golden Girls would fit in well.

I was reading a few of the other reviews and came across one that didn't quite sit well with me. This post is in reply to ' Karla Roland ' . I would hate for others to miss out on a good opportunity because someone was just being cheap and bitter.
• There is a ramp at the second entrance that anyone with a disability is welcome to use
• Prices are great, especially for the atmosphere
• A bowl of soup is just ONE more dollar than the cup of soup (that's a steal), so just 4.99
• Tea is 1.99 a pot not 5 dollars a pot as she had mentioned and it comes in a tea pot that is catered to serving one person typically
• The food is lovely, there is honestly no need to complain especially if you've only had the ONE soup. How can you judge the rest of the menu when you've never tasted it?
• Oh and all of the wait staff are very sweet ladies

Delightful! Life is to be enjoyed, particularly by eating good, rich food on occasion—this place lives up to that motto! Right off I-40. When I saw the sign for an “Applecake tea Room” I knew it’d be a fantastic lunch pit stop and it did not disappoint. I loved their medley special and the quick to-go service was second to none: I literally sat down after ordering for maybe 3 minutes tops. I love the south and this tea room delivers all of the southern charm from small towns in a beautiful log cabin.

Such a cute place! Their food and tea are also both outstanding.

Go here for a great cottagecore vibe.
