I absolutely recommend this place to everyone! They have something for everyone! From coffees to teas and blended milkshake/coffee drinks, to delicious baked in store pastries! They create a special pastry/drink almost weekly! it’s always a fun surprise! The baristas at this location are amazing! always helpful and kind!! The coffee shop definitely deserves a walk around inside! plants and fun stuff in every corner! Everyone should stop by!
This is my second visit. Both times the coffee I purchased was sub par. I bought a latte first visit. It was mostly milk and luke warm. I got a cup of regular coffee w/ half n half the second time b/c they had no real cream. That cup was again luke warm and wasn't a very good blend of beans. I bought a cinnamon muffin top. It looked like it was a pre-baked frozen product that was barely baked. Took two bites and threw it out. I was hoping for a homemade baked good. It is not a real muffin top. I won't waste my money here again. Very disappointed.
I visited today for the first time and my experience was awesome! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and quickly took my order. I got my drink within 2 minutes of ordering so definitely speedy drink time as well. I ordered a honey vanilla latte with cinnamon and oat and will be back soon :)
Me and my boyfriend visited this coffee shop today and the second we pulled up we were immediately in awe of the property. We thought it was absolutely adorable that this old bank was repurposed into a coffee shop. We were excited to check it out! Upon walking in, the atmosphere was very open & airy. The color scheme, plants and decor were very trendy and seemed like high quality! We were greeted immediately by several employees. We took a second to review the menu which was very readable even for someone who's not super coffee-literate. The menu had a very short and concise description under every item. The prices were extremely reasonable. It was $11 for two 20oz drinks, which I think is fantastic. In between walking in and ordering though I started to notice my surroundings. In the corner, two gorgeous leather couches surrounded by plants and a few coffee tables. Along the front window, three tables with high chairs. Two high chairs right at the counter. Another slim longer table against the back window with 5 high chairs, and some merchandise off to the left. Oh and directly opposite the counter, two chairs and a side table. I, as a large person was immediately wondering where we would sit. Those high up chairs are really not big person, elderly person or really even just short person friendly. The chairs at the tables by the front window are those trendy chairs that just have a little tiny back part, so you'd have to be either sitting straight up or leaning forward, you couldn't lean back. Anyway, we sat on the couches which actually were extremely comfortable. Our drinks were absolutely marvelous. Perfect drinking temperature and everything. A few more people came in after us and we watched as a couple of people sat at the chairs by the front window for maybe 15 seconds and then they moved over to the table at the back window. At both tables they struggled to get up onto the chairs. And then maybe 15 minutes later, they got up to leave and both of them nearly fell getting down from those chairs. They laughed it off but they could've seriously gotten hurt if they hadn't been quick on their feet.
All of this to say, the atmosphere of this place is nice, the drinks are superb. But I really think if they want it to be a "lounge" as it says in the title. They're going to have to seriously put thought into changing up their furniture choices. It needs to be a place where there's big comfy chairs where you could get cozy and read a book with your coffee. Chairs that would be comfortable for *anyone* to sit in, and easy to get in/out or on/off of. Or as my boyfriend pointed out, there wasn't really a spot someone could comfortably bring a laptop and do some work or anything. My boyfriend specifically judges a coffee shop on the comfort, you know, "Could I sit here for a couple of hours on my off day and bring my laptop and buy multiple coffees and just hang out and feel comfortable?". Not to say he found it especially uncomfortable, but as we sat there talking, we definitely agreed that the space is more focused on the vibe, and not the accessibility. The rustic yet modern feel is very spot on, but upon really taking in your surroundings, you may end up feeling just a smidge disappointed.
At the end of the day I do absolutely recommend this coffee shop, again, the drinks were great. And that ultimately is the most important part. Check it out, judge it for yourself.
My girlfriend and I went into this place last minute after our plans had changed. I'm glad we did. The atmosphere was amazing! Our lattes were so flavorful! The baristas were very friendly and kind. It is definitely a place that I could see myself hanging out if I was a local.
From white mochas to their lavender lemonade i’m starting to think they can’t make a bad drink at Gather! The muffin tops are also so good! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend stopping by!
We were on a scooter ride and saw a new coffee shop in downtown Harriman TN. I've always loved the building they're in. The atmosphere is so nice. The decor is amazing, very inviting. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back. The drive through opens at 5:30 am for us working people!!
I’m at Gather every Thursday morning for a bagel and coffee with my fiancé. It has become a tradition we both love! Fred is always so friendly and full of fun conversation, and the coffee and the food are alway great:) If I lived closer this would be my daily shop!
So glad to have this new shop in downtown Harriman. The coffee is so delicious. Everything I have tried, has been great. But I am stuck on the Butterscotch Spiced Chai Latte. If you need a pick me up, add in a shot or more of espresso. You will not be disappointed.
Delicious cappuccino, very cute vibe in an old bank building, and super friendly, courteous and helpful staff! Prices were super great as well, our two drinks with a tip were the same price as 2 drinks at Dunkin before a tip! (Please tip your baristas and be kind!)
