Poet's South

Extremely good espresso / cappucinos. I bypass the Cookeville Starbucks now when I'm driving east or west on I 40. Parking is easier at Poet's South, but the downtown location is great also. Help support a quality independent coffeehouse!

Your customers should never feel like they’re inconveniencing your employees. I’m someone who never leaves a negative review and am generally a pretty understanding person. However, we walked in - no acknowledgement or a hello, even after coming to the counter. They hand us our food, we say thank you...no response. Any questions we asked felt like we were annoying your employees. Plus, no mask. You’re preparing food...in a global pandemic.

This is a quaint little spot if you want that famous Poet's coffee but also want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the downtown crowd. It's much quieter and offers plenty of spots to work. The drive thru is a huge plus.

Good and clean but idk it stresses me out being there to small maybe the vibe I'm not sure the place good , most important good drinks

12 or 16 oz coffee, I'm used to more choices. Coffee was okay. Not many choices in the area so this will do. I was a new face, so I told them I was so happy I found them and the girl said 'oh.' I guess you need to be a regular and a local. Or maybe a college student. I was definitely expecting more

I would rate the staff here as 5 stars, however the bathroom needs a serious scrubbing. I also wish they could find a way of adding some outdoor tables at this location

Top local coffee shop in Cookeville. The entire staff makes supreme coffee, just look out for that Monday crew, you may actually enjoy your morning. Bearded guy is fun too.
