Absolutely loved this coffee shop. Very quant and peaceful. They had lots of variety as far as coffee and lunch items. Plenty of seating as well. Customer service was great as well. Coffee was excellent for the price. Would definitely recommend if you like that coffee shop vibe

Coffee/Frozen drinks are great. The sandwich I had unfortunately had huge slices of tomato on it which made what should be a crunchy panini fancy grilled cheese super soggy to the point I couldn't eat it. If I hadn't got it to go, I would've returned it. I could understand if I waited 30 minutes to eat it, but the 4 minute drive shouldn't do that.

After a day spent in less welcoming parts of Cookeville, which is, after all, in the center of reactionary America, it was nice to enter in a place where I didn't feel that anyone was (literally) gunning for me and my kind.

Man, who doesn't love Poet's? It's a popular study spot and it's on the town square so it's within walking distance of a lot places. Their selection is decent, and they have good seasonal drinks. They don't have a ton of baked goods though.

Wicked friendly and accomodating staff, it was cold out and they even let my well trained and bahved dog in (not an opening review for all dogs allowed). Delicous coffee and generous breakfast sandwiches. Great music and relaxing environment with a bonus mini shop too!

Love their chicken salad croissants. Always nice and clean coffee shop. Workers are always kind and courteous.

The atmosphere is very nice, tables where you can do your computer work not overcrowded, there is a small breakfast menu good food, pastries lots of choices for hot and cold drinks. I prefer this any day than Starbucks.

Ordered a strawberry smoothie for my son and a blended carmel drink for me. Wasn't a fan of either one. They tasted like had almond milk or were half water. I don't mind healthy alternatives but i was unaware they were made differently (if it was). When it comes to coffee i like the sugary garbage thats terrible for you and i know thats personal preference. It was a cute shop though.

Poet’s is a MUST-STOP while in Cookeville. The ambiance is relaxed, lots of local goods to peruse, and the staff is friendly with great recommendations! My mom enjoyed a caramel mocha. I had the Porch Swing; both were delicious and not overly sweet. The Porch Swing’s hint of bourbon and caramel was the perfect combination before a morning of shopping! We’ll be back to try everything on the menu!
