Had a delightful lunch with a friend yesterday in Laura's Deli downstairs. The food was delicious. I had the well recommended Chicken Salad sandwich with a side of coleslaw, while my friend tried the Cuban. The Tea - simply fabulous! So many wonderful options to choose from! She went with the tried & true Earl Grey, while I tried the Lady Londonberry (strawberry & lemon flavors). We both splurged a little with the Italian Cream Cake. The atmosphere and staff VERY warm & enviting! I very much liked the option of not having to fancy up to savor a beautiful afternoon and a wonderful pot of tea! I also look forward to having an an occasion to gather with people I love and primp for the full treatment of a High Tea. I think I will be making the trip to perk myself up periodically. They are just off of 77 a small way and pretty easy to find.
They also have a small selection of specialty coffee beans. One of the lady's in a nearby shop recommended them for coffee as being the best option in town. In fact the window fronts feature a Tea theme on the left and a Coffee theme on the right. There is also tea related things for sale. My only criticism would be that a few of the shop items appeared a bit overpriced. But if you find what you want and don't mind the extra, then so be it. There is no parking lot, only parking on the street, but it does not appear to be difficult to find a spot.
Beautiful, charming little town. A couple of interesting shops. I am planning to come back often!

The perfect place to make memories with old or new friends. High tea served properly with delicious, delicate dainties and savouries. Very gracious servers allowed us to have an unhurried afternoon together.

A sweet gem in downtown Ridgeway! Delicious food, impeccable tea knowledge, fabulous stacf, historic location, who could ask for more? High tea is an unforgettable experience and lunch downstairs is equally delightful, just less formal. I have always enjoyed everything I have had here even though I am a picky eater!

Very pricy. Very small portions with the very pricy "high tea." Chicken salad was delicious, what there was of it. Tiniest scones, croissants and desserts I have ever seen. Bulk tea....expensive. Tea pots...expensive. Ambiance is nice. Great old restored millinary building. One bathroom, be prepared to wait.

Lovely afternoon spent with family having high tea. The service was exceptional.

Had a great time here with my mom. We love tea rooms. The food was excellent however the upstairs tea area requires reservations. The hats are a way to have fun and relax.

I love visiting Carol and Laura's Tea Room. I never thought that a guy like me would enjoy tea, but I have never had anything I didn't enjoy at Laura's. The cafe downstairs serves great soups, sandwiches, and desserts while upstairs the ladies can get the full high tea experience. A trip to Ridgeway wouldn't be complete for me and my family without a visit to Laura's Tea Room.

A great spot for lunch and tea! I highly recommend the Chicken Salad sandwich, the PBLT and the Monte Cristo. Their tea is also amazing; the “Beatrix Potter” tea is one of my favorites. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the upstairs tea room is beautiful.

We come every year for my mom's birthday. High tea is a full meal with adorable finger foods that really fill you up. You get to wear hats while dining and choose your own tea. Enjoyable even for a tomboy like me.

Laura's Tea Room, in Ridgeway, South Carolina, is a little gem of a spot. Fresh, beautiful food, served at stunningly set tables upstairs and a cozier, more casual ambience downstairs in the bistro area. Vintage teacups are the presentation for a large and impressive menu of hot teas available. The old small-town department store that is home for Laura's is lovingly restored, airy and charming. A great assortment of tea related products and gifts, as well as premium teas, is available for browsing too. If you get near central South Carolina, and tea is your "cup of tea', do look for Ridgeway and experience a terrific lunch at Laura's Tea Room.
