This building is iconic in that it is the 2nd Thomas Company General Store. The original store goes back to 1886, and was owned by Issac Thomas, the proprietor. This is now Laura's Tea Room and Café now open after our long round of the pandemic. High tea is by appointment only and well worth the price. Behind this tea room resides my first antique shop from 1985-1990...PINETREE ANTIQUES AND GIFTS....COME ON IN TO VISIT THIS BEAUTIFUL STEP BACK INTO THE PAST...CAFE, TEA ROOM, COFFEE SHOP, AND GIFT SHOP EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!!!

We love everything about this place! The food is always amazing! We've had high tea and eaten in the deli and everything has always been delicious and well worth the price. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is one of my most favorite things. It's hard to pick a favorite food, but if you go to the deli I definitely recommend the pimento cheese and bacon sandwich.

Another great find in Ridgeway, SC. The best tea room I have ever been to. Amazing tea, atmosphere, and the food would blow your mind! The attention to detail in this place is phenomenal. From the outside it looks just like any other small eatery, but once inside it is grand and spacious.

I always loved this place, however, I was going to do a girls trip with me, my mom, and other adults for my daughter’s 6th birthday. ( just my child and her adult family, aunts, etc…,for a special time) They assumed I wanted a birthday party without asking questions and informed me they have to be 12. Lost my business for good! And on top of that don’t assume my kid can’t sit for two hours, she dances in a structured environment for 2 hours straight, and goes to school from 730-230. This had to be the most offended I’ve been in a while! Not all kids are the same, so stop assuming they are!

Had a lovely tea reservation with my stepmom just before high tea was cancelled. Their orange cinnamon rooíbos tea was delicious, as was everything else in our courses. Very accommodating to our being vegetarian. Will have to come back for tea and the rest of town once things clear up a bit! Prices were also quite reasonable for the overall experience.

Laura's Tea Room is located in the old historic Ridgeway in a beautiful building, full of classic touches in architecture. Once inside, you are surrounded by crafted tea cups and teas. The menu consists of assorted sandwiches, salad and cakes. The staff was very friendly. We're repeat customers.

Laura's Tea Room was such a wonderful experience. As it was my first time at a tea room, I had no idea what to expect, but the folks at Laura's made everything as wonderful as it could be! The downstairs café, though we didn't eat there, looked fantastic. I could see that there were many lunch menu items along with plenty of tea selections. We made reservations for high tea at 12:30. Our party of 4 arrived at Laura's just a few minutes before our scheduled reservation and we were promptly seated after the great fun we had picking out our "tea hats" and beautiful tea cups with saucers and gold or silver spoons. The house selection of iced tea was sublime, as well as the hot "Be Merry" festive house selection. We were then allowed to choose one hot tea for our whole party to enjoy. The selection from which we were allowed to choose was enormous! The salad and tomato basil bisque following our absolutely delectable scone was very light and fresh. The third course of savories and sweets was perfectly designed and delicious. This whole experience was so much fun and I can't wait to go back. The servers were so kind and knowledgable and the atmosphere of the whole place was open and bright. I could recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys a fine selection of tea with a wonderful light lunch! If I had to make one comment, I would say a larger selection of mens hats would be nice!

100% best tea place I have visited. Its soo cute and has great english tea vibes, must visit if you love cute tea places. Food is a lil overpriced, but I was soo impressed with the place itself, that I wouldn’t mind buying it once-twice.

Loved it. All the staff were just so nice. Huge selection of teas, teapots etc and grandmas attic upstairs with some good deals. Lunch was really good too. We had a great time.
