Java Java is the image of what a small town coffee shop should look and feel like. The space is unique and a little cramped when busy, but offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for the crowd size. You can order breakfast dishes, pick from a selection of sweets behind the glass, and of course order from an assortment of coffees. With it being hot outside, I tried a frozen mocha latte, which was like a coffee milkshake and really good! I also had the savory croissant with egg, cheese, and pork sausage, which was delicious. Only small downside was the chocolate crunch bar we had wasn't the best, but still serviceable.
If price is a factor for you, it isn't cheap here, nor is it outrageous, especially when compared to other Kiawah Island restaurants/vendors.

Not very accommodating and slow indifferent service. Wanted 1/2 pound of coffee since on a bike and they would only sell whole pound. Then waited 15 minutes. Then learned could but same coffee at supermarket much cheaper.

A great coffee shop with lots of options, indoor and outdoor seating and a nice ambiance. I love the breakfast wrap (you can order it anytime before noon) and they can make it vegetarian. Lots of good pastry options as well. WiFi & lots of table options make it a great place to work if you need to while on Kiawah.

I love this place and everything about it. The vibe is just what I want when I'm on vacation and the people that work there always greet me with a smile. I don't live on the island, but the Java Java team makes me feel like a regular. Not to mention they have an amazing menu and the best gluten free options on the islands. I continue to be impressed each time I come down because you can tell that new additions have been made - the owner clearly knows her interior design well! As a small business owner myself, I really appreciate and respect all the details that she and her team put together. You can tell how much time and effort has gone into the place. I'll be back to visit soon and cannot wait for the best coffee on the planet!

Came here with friends two days in a row. The first day they ended up losing my ticket all together and it was never made and my friends had incomplete orders. The next visit was slightly better but they still forgot to make an order. I really think they should put names on the cups or the ticket order. The coffee is good, when you actually get it.

Loved this little spot! The coffee is excellent (they know how to handle their almond milk), the food was on point (recommend the turkey pesto panini-perfect balance of bread to meat ratio) and the chocolate peanut butter, gluten free cookies can stand up to any regular cookie any day!

The coffee and sweets at this place are phenomenal and the staff are really nice and welcoming also. I would recommend Java Java to anyone I know that is visiting Kiawah or Johns Island!

Good coffee with a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff! If you need to plug in, only one side of the shop has chargers. Nicely lit, if not a bit dark in the morning since few windows face east.

The best coffee in Richmond or anywhere in Vancouver. The owner has been roasting his own premium beans for 30 years. A must for any coffee lover. I also buy his coffee for our restaurant and our customers love it!
