We were fortunate enough to find and visit the Hilton Head Social Bakery on our visit to the island. The store is quaint but beautiful with the array of fantastic pastries taking center stage. The owner was friendly and helpful and most importantly the pastries were absolutely delicious! This is one of those places where everything looks and sounds amazing and you want to try just about everything - trust me, if we lived nearby we would frequent this place and do just that. On top of the nice shop, amazing pastries and the friendly service the location is great - being located right on a marina with outdoor seating. Thanks and keep up the great work Hilton Head Social Bakery team!

Super tasty! A little pricey for an every day breakfast, but well worth it as a special treat. We enjoyed the roasted vegetable fougasse, along with an almond croissant and lattes. The two of us split the food and were more than full for our bike ride back to the house. Highly recommend!

My husband & I recently spent a week vacationing in Hilton Head and on one particular night I was craving something sweet (I’m 5 months pregnant so the craving was real! Lol!) So after researching local dessert spots, we decided to check this place out. Man, did it live up to its review & expectation! So good! I ordered the Chocolate Bluff & Berry Tart and both were delicious! I also ordered a decaf coffee since I’m the type that loves dessert & coffee together. The coffee to me wasn’t super impressive but that may be because I’m used to regular coffee & only now drink decaf because I’m pregnant. It was what I would expect from black, no frills coffee though. The service was also great! Upon walking into the store, we were greeted by a warm, friendly cashier who quickly helped us & got our order boxed up. The location was also great! Right by the water nestled in between a lot of cute little restaurants & shops. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy but I’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island!

Coffee is pretty good, quiche was a pretty good way to start the day. Good location for a breakfast with friends and a nice view of the Disney marina

By far the best french bakery with a culinary heart touch. We come here every year when vactioning at Hilton head. We are always greeted with friendly smiles and a warm bonjour! Great pastries and a lot of choices to feast on with the family! We will keep coming back for more and to try every pastry eventually! My favorite is grandmas apple tart warmed up, yum!

This bakery is a hidden gem on Hilton Head! The almond croissants are amazing! Looking for a yummy snack, a light lunch or even an after dinner dessert, this is the place to go. The owners Marissa and Philippe are there daily and are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. A visit to HH isn’t complete without a stop by the Social bakery!

We frequent this bakery every year during our annual family Christmas vacation. My sisters and I can’t wait to wake up and walk here with our hubbies for coffee and bfast. Not only are the offerings beautiful, but they taste fantastic! Ham & Swiss croissants, asparagus mushroom quiche, blueberry muffins, cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, loaves of bread, dense flourless chocolate desserts, and coffee. These are the items we enjoyed this year and I was upset I couldn’t get in one more visit before leaving the island. Relaxed setting, friendly people. Thank you for your amazing work and kindness!

Oh, HHSB, I had such high hopes for you. A delicious French bakery, I accepted the line in exchange for a five star experience. I mean, why else would someone wait 30-45 minutes in line outside? No greeting from any of the four staff behind the counter. I started with my coffee order so they could get it started and have it ready when we were checking out. There were four staff servicing one customer at a time due to limited capacity so they had plenty of hands to get through the waiting line as fast as possible. Wrong, the coffee order was forgotten and we ordered our variety of goodies. All the while only dealing with one employee, and a second on the register. What was the point of the other two employees? All the while the cashier hadn’t paid attention to what we ordered and acted weirdly smug while asking us to repeat our order. After paying a Hilton Head premium on the coffee and pastries and waiting for our order, we sat and enjoyed the view of the bay while eating small, under flavored, mediocre pastries and McDonalds like coffee. Not worth the wait, beyond overrated, overpriced, and arrogant, lazy staff to boot. They earned their one star today.

Went in and ordered a dozen pastries. The sweet ones were definitely better than the savory; the chocolate tart, key lime brulee, and the berry cheesecake were the best. The real star was the smoked salmon croissant. The croissant was light and flaky and the salmon was excellent.
