My family and I went to Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe earlier this week for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had some gluten-free options (I had brought my own snacks to eat). I have celiac disease and am very sensitive to cross contamination. We were helped by Susie Kaven. She explained that they had gluten-free bread for sandwiches as well as gluten-free pancakes. She understood all about cross contamination and was confident that I could eat there. I had gluten-free blueberry pancakes that were the best I’ve ever had (even better than the gluten-containing ones). And I didn’t get sick! My family really enjoyed their chocolate chip pancakes, grilled cheese, and breakfast croissant. The service was pleasant, the scenery was charming (we sat outside), and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend eating there if you get the chance.

This is what southern hospitality all about. The place is cozy (two fire places), friendly staff, generous portion and great prices. The scramble egg is one of the best, it is so fluffy. the bake goods are big and the coffee is decent with unlimited refill also provide almond milk. The only issue it is located in Sea Pines and need admission if you are not a resident or have a pass. I read other reviews that the service is slow and food is not hot. I asked them to warm up the muffin, it was quick and no wait time. I don't have the wait nor the not warm issue. Been here a few times, but always in off season.

Skip the coffee. The House blend at $3.50+ was really bitter and just not good. I don’t mind paying a lot for great coffee, and if you’re in Harbour Town, you want to serve at least decent delicious coffee. Also, it would be nice to display all prices and not have guests ask for them. Oh well.

Nice place for breakfast. The breakfast BLT was very tasty. People are kind.
The poor waitresses are having to work hard to find people outside with social distancing!
And it seems to be hard for the ordering folks to hear through the plastic barriers. My kiddos got a Swiss grilled cheese instead of the cheddar we ordered. Oh well. At least they're trying to keep folks safe.
Also, the grilled cheese isn't really one. Just plain toasted bread with cold cheese slices on top. Kiddos didn't really eat it.
Oh well, I would still try again, maybe with one of the tasty-looking muffins for the kiddos.

Very nice spot (under the big trees) for a coffee and cake or pastry. Service was ok (functional rather than friendly). Coffee was ok (too much milk for my flat-white tastes, tbut that seems to be a common thing in the US).

The croissant-donut bites were so good, we went back the next morning for more. This little restaurant is adorable. There’s seating inside and outside, the bathrooms are clean, and the food was delicious. You can even order online for takeout. 10/10 would recommend.

The best place for breakfast at harbor town! Order at the counter and find a seat and they will bring you the dish! My favorite...waffle with two eggs! Yum

If you can get past a potentially long wait time, this is a great place to go for a little snack or a light breakfast!
