Carolina Coffee & Crumbs

I really wanted to love this place as I always love supporting small coffee shops when I travel, but no matter how hard I try to see the bright side of this place something weighs it down. This is just my experience and is probably not everyone else’s experience, but just thought it should be heard.
OVERALL REVIEW: very cute place and quick service but not very good customer service and definitely not family friendly. In my opinion, food is not worth the price and the coffee does not taste like coffee, more like chemicals.
MY EXPERIENCE: came in and there was a long line but girl at the register was very quick and there was not a long wait at all, having my hopes high. When we began to order she was very snippy, I didn’t think anything of it, as some people that is just their personality, until we grabbed our coffees and the order ticket had the word “bitch” written on it. When I told the barista to just watch out because the things they write on the tickets show up for customers. All she did was grab it out of my hand, say “oh my god” and throw it away. No apologies or explanation. I am not one to get the manager but as I was talking to my family about it, the manager brought out our food and I told her what had happened. She went and asked the girls why and came back and told us that the girl at the register wrote it as in talking to the barista. That’s fine, but if someone not so understanding would have grabbed it it might be a different story. The manger was however very apologetic when she came back out. The food was mediocre, not worth the price. The coffee was actually, in the nicest way possible, the worst coffee I have had. I got an iced latte with chocolate and salted caramel, it had no flavor, instead honestly tasted like drinking Tito’s vodka straight from a cup. Again I really wanted to love this place, and this was just my experience, but just a heads up.

Love this little gem. Pastries and coffee are delicious. The kids corner in the restaurant with Bluey playing was my saving grace on a hot summer day! I was able to enjoy my coffee and my girls played in the kids area. Thank you!

Sorry I forgot to take pictures but the place was nice and was fairly close to the beach. Let’s put it this way, we were able to park in the public beach parking lot, walk across the street to this place, get some coffee and food, then walk to the beach. Food was a little pricey but the environment was nice, clean, and welcoming. As a plus they also had a musician there who was moderately comical.

All remodeled inside, clean restrooms, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating area, and great food and drinks! If you prefer, get your coffee to take across the road to the beach!

Quaint little coffee shop. Music was loud for the morning time but the breakfast burrito was great even if my potatoes were cold they still tasted decent.

We went for breakfast. It was a Sunday, but in November so I wasn't expecting a crowd. The line was out the door. We waited a very long time to order and then a long time for our food. About 40 minutes from getting in line to being served. The food was good, though. I got the special omlette and my daughter has French toast. Both were great.

I ordered a London Fog Latte this morning but the barista didn’t know how to make it. This is completely understandable as it is definitely a specialty drink, but I wish she had just been honest with me about not knowing because I would’ve happily ordered something else. Instead whatever she served me, which I’m pretty sure was just tea and milk was terrible. Better to admit you don’t know how to make something then serve something made incorrectly.

We were biking and this was the perfect place to stop for a late lunch (not just coffee and cakes here). Had the veggie panini - awesome. Friendly staff fixed the chicken panini per my partner’s special request - he loved. Place is spotless. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. I’ll be back.
