Really good local creamery. They have very unique flavors and they continue to change out so there's always something new to try. I had the peach cobbler and blueberry basil - was delicious. Great location too right on Main Street, they were in need of a good ice cream place!
Only thing was.. they don't have toppings. I'm kind of a toppings person. But they want everything to be natural and locally made.. so I can't complain about that I suppose.

There is pure happiness to be found inside this family owned business! Everything is amazing. From the ice cream, coffee and the Cup Of Awesome! We feel like family every time we go there!

Came here during the Saturday market. Some unique flavor you can’t find elsewhere. Try the honey pistachio flavor. Great compliment to all the market food.

Cute ice cream shop. They serve coffee and ice cream. Don’t ask them if they serve affogato (espresso over ice cream) because that’s a weird question to them and they will laugh at you BEFORE you pay them and exit the store. Odd customer service model of you like making tips.
Otherwise the coffee toffee ice cream was pretty yummy though lacking on the toffee side.

I had high hopes for Sweet Cream, a locally owned and operated shop with unique flavors. We are a family of eight and have visited Sweet Cream twice. The ice cream is good, but the scoops are small and pricey, as I suppose is to be expected in an "artisan" restaurant. However, the reason I gave them two stars is poor customer service. The milkshake we ordered was not filled to the top of the cup. There is a sign on the ice cream display "Please purchase ice cream if you sample." I believe the point, especially in an establishment that boasts unique flavors, of samples is to decide whether you want to buy. One staff member who was working on both occasions was unpleasant and lacked basic service skills- a smile, a welcome, an effort to assist customers in understanding the product. (The other employee on this visit was helpful, polite, and served multiple samples without complaint.) My 8 year old asked about flavors to which the server replied they were all labeled and on the board and she could read them herself. There was no attempt to sell the product or help the customer. I contacted the owners directly through email, and while Jessica was polite and apologetic, she made excuses (new employees and "we're not perfect") and blanket statements of using our experience as a teaching opportunity but made no offer, at the very least, of an invitation to return to the shop so that they could have a chance to demonstrate an improvement in service or to make restitution for the lacking milkshake (we spent over $35- a real splurge- on ice cream as a special reading reward for our children). As a resident of Columbia of over 40 years, I long to see local businesses thrive, especially downtown. But Sweet Cream has not been family friendly in our experience. Sadly I cannot offer a wholehearted endorsement for families.

A small, personal place. A couple tables w/ chairs & a couple benches. Kind service, reasonably priced, CLEAN RESTROOMS! Two of my daughters had Dark Chocolate scoops, one had the Lemon.
I left a pic below of what was left of my perfectly blended Chocolate shake.

Extremely disappointing experience. My daughter and I took my wife here for her birthday and the ice cream was bad. The reviews were good so we gave it a try. All 3 of us ordered different flavors and my 10 year old didn't finish hers (that never happens). None of the flavors were sweet. They didn't taste like dessert. If you expect the ice cream here to taste like dessert, you'll be disappointed. Save yourself the time and $ as this place is also kind of expensive = $18 for 3 disappointed people. :(

Y'all...this is THE BEST coffee shop in South Carolina!! The ice cream is super delicious too!! I feel in love with the friendliness of the young girl(I didn't get her name) who was patient with me as I oogled all the coffee and ice cream flavors!! The whisky barrel blend coffee is so good, I ended up ordering on line because I needed MORE!! Got one scoop of the pretzel ice cream....it was heaven!! Can't wait to go back!

My favorite ice cream shop in Columbia! They have such unique flavors and the employees are always great.
