The Cottage Cafe, Bakery & Tea Room

It was my mother’s 85th birthday last weekend. Because of Covid-19, we could not come down to celebrate with her. I wanted to send her a special birthday cake. I called The Cottage and spoke to Dave. He couldn’t have been nicer and very helpful. He had Leslie, the baker and maybe the owner....not sure, call me to make sure, my mother had the perfect cake. Dave delivered it to her home....her words “dressed beautifully and had a nice car”. She said the cake was perfect and delicious. She invited all her friends over and was happy because they were so impressed. :)
I can’t thank them enough for bringing some joy to my mom. It was so special.

Their cake is really good and the flavor combinations are so unique. Loved a recent mint lavender cake i had recently. We also got a strawberry amaretto slice of cake that was also delicious. Been here many times and I'm never disappointed.

Food and drinks were delicious and our server was exceptional! The atmosphere was quaint. Great for lunch!

Best crabcake Benedict I had in Bluffton.

What a jem! The food was amazing and service great too. I had the turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were amazing as well. I will be coming here again on future visits to the area.

Took my two daughters here one has severe allergy Manager cane over to our table greeted both my kids and asked how could she make our day great. We then explain the allergy she told the chef and they made a fantastic brunch for my girls respectively.
My girls said they felt like princesses.
My meal was equally delicious.

Although The Cottage was highly recommended, we found it to be very disappointing. There was no milk available, the eggs were over cooked (ordered over easy), the serving of bacon consisted of one slice and was served with one slice of toast (no choice of bread). If this is "best in Bluffton " save your money and don't go out for breakfast.

Fabulous menu. Get the Monte Cristo! Delish. Service was super and mimosas were divine. A definitely stopping point for lunch.

I read another review where someone dissed the tomato pie because it wasn’t a pizza like they wanted…Well in the south “tomato pie” isn’t pizza, hunny, it’s tomato pie! So southerns won’t be shocked with what they’re ordering but northerns may if they don’t know what tomato pie is! And if you don’t know, then ask. But don’t diss on the classic southern gem if you’re not sure what you’re ordering.
Desserts are amazing and there’s a HUGE selection! 5 or 6 different cakes, 3 different pies, many cookie options, over 15 pastries and sweets… They make them fresh so maybe they’ll run out if you’re going before close but I’ve always been able to get what I’ve wanted throughout the day
