I've been walking by this restaurant for a long time and finally dined in with some friends.

There's enough parking behind the building and even before entering there were waitresses who saw us and opened the door for us. We were quickly seated and asked for our choice of drink.

I understand this used to be a Korean restaurant and then changed to serve Japanese cuisine and pastas with that twist.

We ordered the Chicken Katsu curry, Uni cream pasta, Mentaiko cream pasta and the Garlic Octopus Don.

I generally like to start with Japanese curry at a Japanese restaurant and unfortunately it was too thick and condensed, which made it a bit salty. I just mixed in some water and enjoyed. The chicken was perfect though!

The pastas were a first for us and it was delicious, creamy is as cream does. The garlic octopus Don was interesting. The texture ended up a bit like shrimp. It basically tasted like garlic shrimp, which we enjoyed!

The service was very good! Our waitress was attentive and refilled our iced teas before it reached the bottom of the cup. Our orders came appropriately timed with the smaller and lighter dishes coming first!

The atmosphere was good, there were groups of people that came and went but there was enough privacy between each table. Overall, a nice place to dine in. We'll have to try the sushi next time.

Good for family and friends to eat here

Good spot if you don't mind waiting 30-40 minutes for your order. Place wasn't even busy and it took that long. Others who were there that I know were complaining of the same wait time. Too bad, because some of their food is pretty good.

If you are into Japanese and Korean cuisine, I highly recommend you go for their dishes. They will certainly satisfy your palates and make you crave more.

Great food, perfect location! Lots of items to choose from in the menu as they have a variety: American, Korean, Japanese, etc.

I've been to dozens of restaurants in Saipan and this place is hands down my favorite. The food is incredible, the service is amazing and the portions are unbelievable. I'm officially a customer for life.

Outstanding chicken katsuda here.

I ate at this restaurant twice. The first time I came in the Coral Tree Avenue entrance which has sign overhead "Garapan restaurant". The next day I came in the Plumeria Street entrance which has sign overhead "Bar B Cue & Sushi bar". I did not realize I was coming into the same restaurant until the waitress handed me the menu. It turns out this restaurant extends completely through the length of the building with front entrance on Coral Tree Avenue and back entrance on Plumeria Street. Outstanding chicken katsuda both times.
