What a phenomenal experience! My friend asked me if I had heard of this place and I only saw it while driving to work every morning. I never would’ve thought that such a truly exquisite and authentic British experience was just around the corner. We walked in and instantly David greeted us with a smile and real British hospitality. We said we were real hungry and he replied we’ve got just the thing. He showed us the menu and at the top was “The Full Monty”. We looked at each other and said that’s the one. David took our order, but first asked if we wanted to try the black pudding. Neither of us knew what was in it but just off our brief encounter with David we knew he wouldn’t steer us wrong. The food was exceptional! I felt like I was sitting in London. After completely cleaning our plates David asked us how the food was and clued us in on what black pudding was. I encourage everyone to give it a try. This has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast stops and I will be coming back.

The best English Breakfast, I have had in a while.

The staff are super friendly and a riot to talk with. You would be missing out if you don't pop in for a spot of tea.

Lovely staff, delicious English breakfast. Well worth the trip from Massachusetts. Can't wait to come back for the pasties and high tea. Grabbed a scone for the road, but still so full I haven't tried it yet.
Try it, you'll love it.

A must stop on your way off of the Newport Pell Bridge for this authentic British Cafe experience. On a cold, rainy December day, my husband and I popped in for a special treat and we thought we had died and gone to Heaven. This family run cafe is charming and brought us back to our honeymoon spent in England. They were closing up shop, but kept the oven going to make me a Cornish pasty and my husband the most delicious vegetarian pie. Their kindness and warmth was appreciated on such a raw day. So was their delicious food!!!! Their variety of snacks and treats was impressive and introduced us to some treats we didn’t spot on our honeymoon. The food made our knees buckle. Flavors and a cooking style that we have longed for since we were in the UK and couldn’t find in New England. We had a lovely time visiting with them while our pies cooked and we are already planning our next trip!!! This is not a place to miss! We’re so grateful the owners picked Newport to open their shop!!!

A truly British breakfast. Had a sausage roll that is like a beef Wellington treat that you can take to go. Wonderful owners whose love of British cuisine. You can feel in the atmosphere of the cafe and taste in their food. Specially made sausage. Recommend meat pies to go, you can cook them at home and enjoy a warm delicious meal great on a rainy day.

I was searching for Tea and scones, when I found this British gem with a full English breakfast, Yorkshire tea and scones with jam and clotted cream.🇬🇧 The food is perfectly prepared and delivered to your table by owner and staff from England. I have had the privilege of dining at fancy hotels In the US for afternoon tea and they pale in comparison. Kellie’s food is fresh, authentic, delicious and a welcome reminder of my visits to see family across the pond.💕

Able to write this with a Yorkie Gold, five stars is not enough. I'm so glad there is an English cafe here in Newport; apparently serves the only Full English in RI and MA, there's a good choice of the best English candies and chocolates (inc. Lion and Mars) and the sandwiches and cooked dishes are the best - really. Also some good American options - a pleasant, spotless, cafe area - and welcoming, friendly staff. A new favourite.

Tired of Americans trying to put hot sauce on your brekkie? Then Kellies is the place for you. Kelly and Dave are awesome and it’s a proper cafe. Only difference here is you haven’t hopped off the Northern Line to get it. Not only do they have a real Full English, you can get all the confectionery you miss, they even have crisps. Just go you won’t regret it.

Just had a lovely couple of days in Newport, Rhode Island where we had Afternoon Tea yesterday and a Full English Breakfast this morning at the infamous Kellie’s Cafe. Well, it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely superb, and Kellie and her husband, Dave, couldn’t have been nicer! Kellie really knows how to look after you! I would highly recommend a visit, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in RI. Thank you so much Kellie Tobias for your lovely home-cooked food and for looking after us so well!🥰
