I got stuck in wheatland while traveling from saskatchewan to colarado. This coffee shop plus was a god send. I was able to enjoy being trapped due to the I25 being closed thanks to this shop!

I love this place so much. It's all the magic and wimsy you expect from a small town book store with the added enchantment of a toy shop and coffee bar. Dan and his staff are incredible and make you feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

This place was an accidental stop on our road trip and what an amazing shop! If we ever drive back through the area we will be visiting again. Books galore plus they have a coffee bar area and places to read. Very reasonable book prices too!

The Wandering Hermit is my favorite place in the whole town of Wheatland. When I walk in I am instantly greeted with the smell of coffee and new books. Their book selection is vast. They have books for all age groups, and for kinds of readers. One great thing about this place is their selection of used books in the back, if you're looking for something to read but not have to spend $10-$20 on a new book, instead, you can pay $1-$2 for a book. Although, you don't get the privilege of the 'new book smell'. But they still have an amazing selection of used books. If you're not into books, don't worry, there is one more thing, they have a HUGE selection of board games and other kinds of toys.

Been in the storm many times and I love it. I'm not much of a book reader but the board games and coffee are what bring me back. I tried a new coffee drink and the guy making them did such an amazing job. It tasted just perfect.

This is a great store with great service. The coffee is second to none! I bought a sticker from here a while back and put it on my phone case. It has held up perfectly for months. Anyway, I highly recommend visiting this store.

My boyfriend and I love The Wandering Hermit. Zack is a sweetheart and there’s an amazing selection of books and toys. We also love the hot coco! If you’re ever in town, this is one place worth visiting.

Yeah, these folks are working HARD to make their niche successful. A small town like Wheatland can be tough, but The Wandering Hermit is somewhere I would spend waaaaay too much time and money in if I lived there.

The customer service is excellent! I’ve been in The Wandering Hermit several times now and I always feel welcome and like I matter. This is now my favorite bookstore/coffee shop! Move over Barnes and Noble there’s a new place in town!
