The owners here have done their kava research! It’s smoother than the stuff I make at home and they have a variety of drinks to try for first timers. Pool table, good music, comfy hanging chairs - a good option to hang out without alcohol.
i used to have 1 star because i was an idiot, its def 5 star. amazing place.
After spending some time being ignorant, I finally went into the Nakamal, and stay in there for three hours without even realizing it. This is an extremely inviting business, with absolutely lovely individuals to chat to, while enjoying some delicious Kava. I was worried at first, but my worries were based In not doing research properly and I apologize. An absolutely amazing establishment - Matt
I’ve never been to a place where I felt were at peace. The atmosphere and the people at the Local Nakamal Kava Bar are astounding and so welcoming. 10/10 recommend!!!!!
Great change of pace for Sheridan! Not only does this one of a kind place provide a friendly environment for all, the experience is educational, insightful, and one to remember! Definitely a place you won’t forget! Bula!

The Local Nakamal is a wonderful addition to Sheridan. A very refreshing environment that’s welcoming to any walks of life and finally a new hangout spot that’s not another bar…YAY! The Kava is the best I’ve ever had, and dang, is it smooth! The decorations and theme in this lovely Kava bar will transport you from the mountains, directly to the heart of the jungle. I definitely recommend, but especially if you want to get away from the toxic bar scene.
