Drove an HOUR to eat and spend time here. To find out they’re closed Tuesday and Wednesdays even though online it says they’re open.

🍄 I'm convinced Hansel and Gretel live here! lol. The Red Mill is an ICONIC location in beautiful Waupaca Wi and a MUST SEE to experience its grandeur! We have been going to the Red Mill for over 20 years - for Weddings, picnics and other gatherings (and photo shoots)! Its STUNNING! 🍀 Enjoy a casual walk along the pristine trails, read by the river, bring your yoga mat and do a few Namaste's in the fairyland -eque woods! 🌼AHHH Its all very relaxing and calming (great meditation place). A great "get away" from a big city, noise or traffic! 🌾On the left side of the building is a public park that you can actually GET IN the water on a hot summer day! AHH! WE love the Red Mill! A great place with great people!

The ice cream was good and the area was pretty but the service was less than par. We took our 3 year old to get ice cream and she accidentally dropped it on the floor. When we brought it up to the counter they told us we would have to buy a new one along with paying for the one that dropped on the floor. No compassion especially when it happened right in front of them and I showed them the evidence of it going in the garbage.

Beautifully renovated Mill from the 1800s. Coffee, iced drinks and food are delicous. Lovely gift items to purchase. Located on the river. Park area for customers to sit and enjoy the river and beautiful scenery.

The food was wonderful. I bought a few fun items for myself. The store has a ton of really neat one of a kind items. If you need a gift for anyone you have to stop in.

Very beautiful location and building, kind of a tourist stop tho. Kind of pricey but kind of worth it.

It’s a cute little joint. It was my first time there and my family and I tried to get some ice cream but we weren’t served. We were the next in line but I guess that didn’t matter to the workers. They just took whoever butted to the front first. We waited for ten minutes while people behind us kept getting served. We left empty handed and disappointed.

None of the workers were wearing indoor state mandatory (as of 8-01-2020 masks) or gloves. Very disappointing to see such, especially in the era of this pandemic that we have to protect everyone rather than helping spread the disease process. It doesn't matter left or right, do the right thing for humanity. As a healthcare provider seeing that, we walked out of the store without purchasing anything. Just because you don't see the virus, doesn't mean it's not there. Simoly put, together we have to fight this disease to win it, not the around!

A must-see for Waupaca-area travelers. Spend a couple hours roaming the beautiful grounds including the chapel and covered bridge over the Crystal River, the quaint yet sprawling gift shop with crafty knick knacks and antiques, and the new coffee shop with ice cream and gourmet sandwiches.
