What a cool, hip, lil spot. Got a delicious grilled cheese (jalapeño popper) + Frappuccino. Staff was sooo nice. Tried their famous cheese popcorn (took a bag to go), and have tons of cool souvenirs!! Definitely a spot to check out, if you are local.

I needed a special book for my grandson and another book for a birthday. They were extremely helpful. The caramel popcorn smells wonderful and you can't leave without some.

I frequent Carmel Crisp. It’s a nice place and it offers some good things, coffee, treats, cute gift shop and kid’s center. My biggest issue is the lack of cleanliness. The bathrooms are disgusting!!! All three of them! It would be good to have a chore sheet posted so staff would check on the bathrooms frequently during operating hours!!

Kitty Kitty Bang Bang! This creamy cheesecake ice cream w/raspberry ripple, Oreo cookies, & chocolate chunks is GLORIOUS. Really appreciate the kindness of the girlie who took our order. Cheers to 15 years in Downtown Oshkosh dahlings!

I frequent CC often mostly for chai and cookies. In the past I have ordered pies (very good) My husband and I met there for lunch 1/8. We both had chicken pot pie soup-both agreed there were no chunks of pie in it (usually pie crust pieces-go in this soup) and it really lacked flavor it was quite blah-as somebody else felt the same as half of bowl was left full by the trash. My cashew chicken salad had NO cashews??? and my husband was excited to have the jalapeno popper grilled cheese but realized there were no jalapenos in it?? I really like the atmosphere and the cookies but not sure I will eat there for lunch again. Staff were very polite! I was going to leave just a message for the owner and not have the review posted in hopes the owner maybe can fix this without everybody needing to see this but I saw no place for this.

Really disappointed this time! My significant other and I ordered 30 dollars worth of food during lunch time. At the end of the order, we wanted to tip our waitress at the register and were suprised to find that this wasn't an option. When we double checked, they told us no again and walked away from the register. As we were walking back to the seating area, we loudly heard them talking about our interaction..."why would he even ask that", "I can't believe that", etc. Just a customer service 101: if you are going to talk rudely about your customers simply for trying to be nice during the holiday season, make sure that you're not loud enough that the entire front half of your store can hear you.

Caramel Crisp is a complete experience. A beautiful eating, book, toy and gift shopping experience. Locally owned and featuring many local products, it is a must visit for Oshkosh. And the best cookies and ice cream anywhere...

The baked goods are incredible. Regular food is okay, definitely worth it if you want a comfortable place to work/study

Me and my friend were loyal customers who went to caramel crisp weekly to study for our CAPP classes together. Every single time we went, we bought meals, drinks, snacks, and treats to bring home to our families to support our local cafe. However, today we had a confusing, unnerving encounter that caused us to reevaluate whether or not this is a business we want to continue to support. I brought in a drink from home, intending to finish it quickly and then buy something else from caramel crisp as per usual. A lady (who we believe was the boss) I had never seen before confronted me angrily about my drink I was about to finish, asking “if I thought it was acceptable” and “proper” to bring my own drink in because caramel crisp is a business. I told her I completely understood where she was coming from, but she continued to go on about how we use her internet and drink her water and we cannot just come in without buying. She of course was unaware of the hundreds of dollars we have spent at caramel crisp over the years. If she had simply told us to not bring in our own drink again in a respectful manner it would’ve been fine because we understood where she was coming from, however, her extremely aggressive and accusatory tone forced my friend and I to leave immediately and decide to not go back again. Disappointing.

If you want a cozy place to talk with a friend over tea or coffee, while enjoying great homemade cookies or pies, quiches, sandwiches etc, this is it. If you want to find a unique, good quality gift, they have lots to choose from! I've been going here for over 8 years. Highly recommend as a place to go to.

My daughter and I love this place. We don't call it by name but only refer to it as our favorite ice cream shop. She loves to get a treat. I love their salads, the curry chicken one is amazing. They have such a selection of stuff you can purchase, sometimes there is a Red Chocolate Wine in stock that I am in love with. We've purchased jewelry there. My favorite pair of gloves is from Caramel Crisp. I love in summer being able to sit outside with the dog while my daughter enjoys an ice cream I can have a glass of wine. It's a great atmosphere.

Greeted at the door with the beautiful smell of caramel popcorn. Had the bacon, egg, and cheese everything bagel. Couldn't resist the peanut butter pretzel cookie. Both were very tasty. Service was friendly and fast. Enjoyed perusing the market while my sandwich was being made. Cute place!

Food was tasty I had a sloppy joe sandwich but they had run out of egg, tuna and chicken salad by 1 p.m. The selection of bakery ie pies and cookies were very tempting. I had a Carmel pecan cookie that was delicious! The fact that there was a great book store and gift shop as well as carmel corn in the same building made it special!
