I give this establishment one star not because of the products which are generally quite nice. I give it one star because of the shady workers here. They no longer accept EBT payments presumably due to a company system switch which is completely understandable as these changes do occur, however, I've speculated due to their demeanor towards customers they deem as, "beneath them" that this was done on purpose as an attempt to make them not want to come back to the store. To "weed out" those that make their establishment look "bad" for them, as they find them to be an embarrassment. To those who don't pay attention, and are just in and out, they won't see this, but to those that do, it couldn't be more obvious. It's a shame really, because their products are again, quite nice, and to knock out a group of customers based on their method of payment, whether company ordered or otherwise, is pretty absurd. Especially these days when food is becoming much more expensive. Not a great look. This just goes to show a smile and fast service does not mean you are a reputable business worthy of being praised. I will no longer be putting my hard earned money into this sort of establishment, or returning unless they change this back to accommodate loyal customers who've paid with their EBT cards for quite some time now. It's inexcusable at this point in time to behave this way, and it's time to be better to those less fortunate, because at any moment, it could be you using an EBT card to feed yourself. Your chronic superiority complexes are showing. Be humble.

I had a weird sandwich. I'm probably going to have a weird sandwich again sometime. This is not normal type of place to go. But maybe I can be turned. Don't tell anyone. My sandwich was great. And I like the antiques in here. Very cool.

I've never been to Antigo and not stopped at the Green Hen. Even if they're closed I just sit in the parking lot and cry until they open again.

The produce section is quite small, very heavy reliance on the NOW Brand. The dry bulk section is impressive. This place could use a change of location for a larger storefront. The left side of the store, the flooring, etc, seems a bit out of place.

Great selection of local and organic products. Fresh fruit and veggie smoothies, and yummy food! Such a gem in a small town in Wisconsin.

Good food prepared in the back deli, and organic and non-gmo foods that are hard to find. Herbal medicine and other necessities.🍍

The Green Hen is a great place for natural hygiene products, food. and vitamins. The Luncheonette has fantastic food and is not much more than fast food. It's also much better for you.
