Cute breakfast spot! I liked the little store area with cute decor and giftables. The food was good and the staff very friendly.

the coffee was great but I was in shock at your tasteless tip jar which someone drew a sinking titanic and wrote, even the titanic tipped. it is believed that 1500 people died when the titanic sank. That’s nothing to joke about! It wasn’t funny then and it’s not funny now. I know you wouldn’t draw twin towers collapsing and write, drop your coins as fast as the twin towers fell, because it’s insensitive, and tasteless!

I always go to local coffee shops while traveling and this is definitely in my top 10 so far. I don't go to the same place twice, except I did for this place. The staff were amazing and the coffee was to die for. Highly recommend.

This is a small cafe that dishes out BIG flavor! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches (the John Brown and various breakfast sandwiches) and desserts. The coffee and sweet tea offerings are equally yummy. Follow the recommendations of the staff, they know their stuff (for example, I never would've chosen a Samoa cookie latte...but I'm SO glad I listened...super delicious)! Not to mention, the great customer service...truly genuine people. Will DEFINITELY be back the next time we're in town.

You can't go wrong at Battleground. I'm a basic coffee gal, but I did splurge once and get the Almond Joy coffee drink (don't remember the exact name, but YUM!). Their baked goods and bagel sandwiches are fabulous!

I live in town up the hill in Bolivar. On the weekends I walk 2 miles with my dog Natasha all the way down to Battlegrounds for their food. Tabby and the staff are terrific. Their sandwiches are gourmet. Fresh bread always. Very good choices make it hard to decide. I must admit the breakfast sandwich is really good with lots of bacon. But I have to watch my cholesterol level ;) So I usually opt for all their other really healthy choices. Good coffee and pastry's too. Prices are very reasonable. Natasha likes the scraps of bread that the staff provides! I wish I could walk down there every day, but alas, work calls .....

Friendly staff, quick service, both indoor and outdoor seating. Locally made items for sale. Wish they had a couple more vegan options such as baked goods. Coffee was a bit watered down.

Wonderful food and drink. Beautiful patio overlooking train station and spectacular Mountain Views. I recently had the mountain top sandwich and it was fabulous! Freshly baked sourdough and fresh and generous portions of meat and toppings. It is huge - the size of a hefty sub. I had an iced latte and it was also terrific. Baked sweets can’t be beat either. To top it off, the ladies working there are so nice. Just a great experience and a must do in HF!

We came here after a quick hike up to Jefferson Rock. We had delicious hot chocolate, and an amazing red velvet muffin. Definitely coming back! Awesome staff here, really welcoming, with a beautiful place to chill and relax with a cup of coffee.

Really friendly staff, wonderful hot sandwiches, and a good selection of coffee and ice cream with some inside seating and a small shop. We go there every time we go to Harper’s Ferry
