I am not a fan of order at register and get your number. Then there is no follow through, nearly like serve yourself (might should give myself 5 stars). Overall the place is worth a stop. Food was good.

Well done breakfast and steaming coffee, and for me a side order of sacrilege. Really cool venue with the stained glass, glad to see old buildings brought back to life.

It is weird how you wait for a table and then order at the counter, but that's a minor detail. I enjoyed the food though it was a bit cold. The coffee was excellent. The bookstore could use more books though. I found a surprising lack of books for sale in a place that claims to be a bookstore.

The wait was short for two people, even over a busy holiday weekend (our table could have seated four). I got the vegan tofu scramble with pumpernickel toast and a chai latte made with soy milk. All good. Polite staff handled the crowds well.

Loved getting quick breakfasts here before our days of hiking, rafting, and driving. The nut honey lattes and cinnamon rolls are so good and they have plenty of vegan/vegetarian options :)

Charming restaurant with friendly staff and good food/drinks. We stopped by 2 times during our weekend visit and will be sure to stop by anytime we are in the area.

I really enjoyed this place it was such a fun fun store and the gentleman that seated us was the sweetest man I have ever encountered during my whole trip. I was here visiting my daughter from Colorado. We were on our way to the airport. I hope to be able to come back some day.

We were excited to try this place on our drive through. The menu selections looked intriguing. However, I was a bit underwhelmed it tasted…okay… just nothing memorable. While the atmosphere was very cool, I think you can find better options elsewhere…

My wife and I loved this unique space. We came here for breakfast and I got the Carnivore Frittata and my wife got the Whole Grain Pancakes. Both were delicious. We then stayed and read for a while before heading home.

The food was very good, and the building is amazing. It still has the old stained glass. Definitely a great place to grab a coffee or cocktail and relax.

Killer brunch and brekkie location housed in a 19th century church. Caters to the crag hoppers, river runners, and your average tourist. Scratch kitchen style food serving a la carte pancakes and french toast, eggs, and all your brekkie favorites. Full coffee menu with several espresso options. All food and coffee is sustainably sourced, much of it being local. Get there when the open to avoid the long waits as they don't offer call ahead seating.

What a gem of a place. The food and beverages were fantastic and everyone was so friendly. The menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly and they have an extensive beverage menu + alcoholic drinks. I got a black coffee and the veggie panini which was delicious and my friend got a chai latte and the SMAQ Quesadilla which she raved about. There were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try but will have to wait until my next time I visit the area! The seating area is rather small and they get very busy (understandable) but is worth the wait. Also, visit the small retail area upstairs!

Just went here this past Friday with my fiancé before we went on the Bridge Walk (highly reccomend that as well!) This place is a true gem! From the yummy coffee, to the excellent food, to such an incredible atmosphere, Cathedral Café is something like nothing else we’ve seen. The service was great and super fast. Would definitely reccomend this to anyone visiting New River Gorge!
