Limited menu with some basic hospital cafe style sandwiches. I had the chicken salad that was good, but just a standard chicken salad. It didn’t have any real stand out flavors and was very generic. The “croissant” it was on was more like a bun and was dense. The sweet potato fries and ranch were really good though. Kudos for them. The Starbucks frappes lacked any real coffee kick. The second day here I even had espresso added and although it was better, it was still more milkshake like than a blended iced coffee. The staff were all very friendly though.
The “fresh baked” sweets were poorly made. Clearly had been put in an oven that was not preheated. The scones were spread on the pan and misshapen from the poor cooking. The cookies were burnt or leftover from yesterday. The latte was expensive and tasted burnt. Hotel restaurants are generally low quality and poor value, but this was exceptionally bad. Cafe was clean, and staff polite. Maybe we stopped in on a bad day. But definitely will not be back.
