Wonderful place, and great ambiance when it is open. Food is just so-so, but definitely worth going if you find yourself in Capon Bridge.
Beautiful place, great views and awesome outside sitting area. Delicious coffee, i had the lucky charms latte and it was perfect. Everybody here was so friendly and welcoming
An inexplicably wonderful place
Clean, artsy, friendly with a good variety beverages and some quick meals and pastries.
Great local meeting place with good light food and fun events. Update: just ate the smoked salmon and capers on a bagel. Bagel could have been a bit toastier but the salmon was as good as it gets.
Such a cool place with good eats and lots of happenings and entertainment nestled in beautiful Hampshire County.

A must-stop spot for anyone visiting Capon! All of the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The drinks and pastries we got were delicious as well! The Handmade items on display were reasonably priced for the amount of work that went into them, and were overall very unique and well made. I would absolutely recommend you check this place out, whether it be for coffee, a bagel, or better yet, one of the many artisan classes they offer.

I love the relaxed atmosphere and the community feel. What a great place! I remember when they used to serve food and miss that. Some may have found the food expensive but this is a non-profit and the proceeds go to keep the River House up and running. I hope one day they are able to, once again, serve food and be supported.
When we travel to a different city we always ask ourselves "what should we eat" or "where to sleep". But we should also put in our travel radar music and entertainment venues that will put the cherry on top of our vacation. Discovery The River House in Capon Bridge, WV is one of those cherries on top of your night out, date night, and/or vacation getaway. This venue showcases so many talented artists and musicians that are truly breathtaking. Each show is unique that comes along with a very knowledgeable and respectful staff and administration. Life is too short just to be dull and sit in front of the television all day. Embrace venues like The River House that will compliment your life so much better.
The shining star. The talent that this place brings in is better than the big city acts. They have very good eats too. Very charming place. The people that put this together are needed in every town.

The River House is a jewel in the crown of Capon Bridge. It's a hub of local music, art and poetry that welcomes all who enter and the patronage does the same. This place added a feeling of home to my trip to WV this September. They make great coffee and offer a little something for everyone; from bites to eat to beverages abound (even a cold local brew for those nights with entertainment). With outstanding service and friendly staff, the River House is a great place for those who appreciate local art and music with something to sip on and a fresh bite to eat.
