It is with much regret that I deliver this review. I loved eating here. The homestyle breakfast potatoes are no longer fire..they are now the wet blanket of bfast potatoes:(
Only place I go for turkey cranberry sandwiches
The place has been steadily going down hill, and today it's close to the bottom. Same meager decor and worse furniture but the kicker was the food. I think my sandwich, ( the turkey tomato ) was about the worst I've had. A pickle on the side and a small bag of plain chips for $14. My wife's was worse,( turkado) so bad she didn't finish. To say it was sparse of ingredients would be an understatement. And paying nearly $30+ for something you can spend $10 in a grocery store and do 100% better... for 3 meals worth is sad. Used to be a nice place. Now it seems they aren't even trying. Will not go back. Say goodbye to another sad ending to one of Yakima's favorites.
Have lunch here all the time, wonderful place highly recommend.
It was just ok, servers were quick and friendly
We went for breakfast and it was great! We had the Denver omlett, and the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. I practice a low-carb lifestyle, so I asked for poached eggs with Canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce. They were so gracious about modifying my request and making it just the way I wanted it. The coffee was fantastic as well. This restaurant is a win for breakfast.
Cool place with good service and typical diner food. Staff was friendly and nice.
Nothing special but nothing bad, a favorite place for seniors, food is good but very mild, don't expect much spice in favorite place of senior citizens. When they get busy (full) the service falls behind.
We arrived at 10:58, the cook STRICTLY cut off cooking breakfast at 11:00. It was 11:03 when we were ready to order. We did not get breakfast. We did not want lunch. This policy cost them two very loyal customers.
Food's always good and great service. Specials where very good yoday.
Great food, great service! Stop in if u can.
Delicious sandwiches for lunch! We came here for a small business meeting and we’re very impressed with how yummy everything was.
Ohhhh Ballisteri's, where the motto is, "if our food never impresses you in the first place, it can never let you down!" Pancakes = tiny, oddly gooey Potatoes + hash browns = unseasoned and still taste frozen even when fully cooked, definitely not crispy as we hopefully requested Gravy = looks like something that rhymes with gum, slimy at best Omelet = flat pale eggy flap surrounding uninspired filling 1 point each for: Bacon = still tastes like bacon, MVP of this meal, hands down Coffee = better than hospital coffee, but not by much Ambience = strip mall meets confused country dive feebly disguised in french flair. Bonus points for awkward pink hand-cut rain drops adorning the bathroom wall.
The food was boring. It was what you could make at home. The salad was so small and served with a slice of white bread. We will not go back.
We had the Avocado Shrimp Salad and the best lemon shortcake I have ever had. And great service.
Nice breakfast, quick and friendly service!
GREAT breakfast!!! Loved it and service was wonderful!!
Excellent little hidden gem in Yakima! This little boutique restaurant has great service and a great breakfast and lunch menu. The atmosphere is quite nice and relaxed, while service is expedited for those on a lunch break. Delicious sandwiches, soup, salad and burgers are served with chips and a pickle. Soup and sandwich are this writer's favorite, but their Cobb Salad is divine.
Great breakfast, will be back
I love this little Cafe. Quick to seat. Quick to be greeted and Quick for food. Check ins to make sure all is well are frequent but not intrusive. 10/10.
