Cool place! Good coffee and nice to have a place on the waterfront with outdoor seating. However, a lot of the tables outside arent stable, they wobble quite a bit which can make it hard to work. You should also know they dont offer WIFI. This is an awesome place to meet you up with someone or if you're walking by, but not necessarily a working/study environment.
Came across Kafiex while attending the Vancouver farmers market. The shop is a large space with ample seating that would be especially suitable for use as a workspace. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I got a V60 brew of their Ethiopia. It had some nice notes of chocolate and graham cracker. I personally would have preferred an Ethiopia to be a touch more bright and fruity, but that’s all a matter of preference. The shop also has a viewing window into the roasting space. There wasn’t any roasting happening while I was there, but I love that concept and I think it’d be cool to watch when there is roasting going on.
Nice staff, good selection of baked goods. They don't have wi-fi available to customers. Not a downside, just thought I would provide the knowledge. I needed it for a specific task that was not working on my home wifi network and assumed a coffee shop would have wifi. Saving anyone else who might run into the same issue as most coffee shops do have wifi available. Still had a nice time enjoying a beverage in a neat location.
Everything I've had here is super tasty. I especially love the Mexican Mocha.
- NO WIFI - + Really great service and nice people! + Great coffee and good food - $33 + $6 to park.
Wow, the donuts are amazing. If there are cinnamon donuts in the case get them. They usually sell out so hurry. The baker’s, Emorie and Seidy, are top notch. Breakfast sandwiches are gourmet 👌 The drip is good. Which makes sense considering the owners are constantly at national competitions and going on trips to coffee farms to get it just right. The shop is like a fish bowl so you get plenty of natural light for getting work done or just getting some rays when the sun is out. We all need it with the winter weather up here. I personally like the BLUE MATCHA. Quite the treat.
I have never had a natural process coffee that I particularly loved. Kafiex roasters' Guatemala Geisha is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had, and it is a natural process. Absolutely fantastic, incredibly even roast.
One of the best beans I have tried. Have been ordering this coffee for some time and absolutely love it.
Awesome coffee shop. Amazing owners, and the coffee always taste amazing!
Beautiful presentation, pleasant seating area, good coffee
We had four coffees…….three regular one iced terrible, burnt beans. Nobody drank it. It was awful.. we also had two cinnamon breakfast muffins. It was hard as a rock and I had to change it out for something else. It wasn’t much better. I’ll never go back and I want a refund. The girl was a crabby unhappy waitress until the fire department showed up. What a joke.!!!!! One and done!
If you enjoy complaining about coffee snobs, don't go here, you will become one. They have amazing coffee and the owners and staff are a pleasure to talk to everytime.
Good coffee, but don't go when they're roasting their beans, it stinks like a million hobos in a small room, and the smell will put you off of coffee forever. But, it has a much better, full bodies, freshly brewed taste that you can't get at your local Starbucks.
Coffee was delightful (I'm not a fan of espresso or dark roast so got medium) Batista was so helpful & pleasant!
As of late. The last three times I went there, the service was abysmal. The young woman look like she was stoned or something. I will never go back there again. I will tell everyone I know to never go in there. Your help will runoff all your business.
Ordered two lattes. Half the cup was foam. I literally combined the two cups and got one cup of coffee. I got one for the price of two. Food took a very long time but was good.
Cute little place for a drink. Friend had Mexican Moca and I had hot chocolate. Tasted good.
I love Kafiex! The food was delicious, and I’ve been back a few times to try other dishes and the pastries. They roast their own beans and if you aren’t a coffee lover, try their Golden Turmeric Latte. Honestly, everything I’ve tried is yummy.
Emory refused to take a picture of me in the store saying it was against "company policy". It was not so much that but she also gave a guest the look of death when she offered to take a picture for me. I was not aware the map painted on the wall was strewn across the internet so it was not so unique. Nor, was I aware the coffee was AWFUL. Luckily Kelsie offered to take the picture for me. I give this facility a one as it offsets Emory's treatment with the wonderful work done by Kelsie. I didn't ask for my money back, I just went a half block down to "Washington's" coffee-maker. Where, by the way, the service AND coffee were excellent.
First time here and tried the cajeta latte while visiting the Vancouver Farmer’s Market. The latte was very well made, with a mild caramel flavor without being too sweet. Truly delicious.
