My husband and I went there for a brunch date and it was really nice. The owner that runs it is friendly, the coffee she made was really good. I almost ordered a 2nd one to take home. The food was pretty decent as well. I had ordered a sandwich and grilled it to make it into a penini. We plan on going there again for another date really soon.
Great place for a morning coffee and pastry or an afternoon tea and biscuit. All are locally made from nearby business. Grab a bag of beans to grind at home. Relax and enjoy

My sanctuary is Lux coffee. Every drink is expertly made, the pricing are reasonable, the pastries are flaky, and the baristas don't just serve coffee; they also get to know their customers by name and are always pleased to see them when they enter the establishment. not to mention doggie kisses from the shop puppies! The quality of the coffees and teas has utterly astounded every friend I've brought here. I visit this store every week; it's truly one of Tacoma's best hidden treasures. Amazing feelings, amazing dogs, amazing vibrations, amazing coffee. 10 out of 10!!!

The gents serving was super cool. Super sweet dog in the shop too. Nice clean and hip. Good chill music. Coffee was A++ and the quiche is ridiculously good.

Hole in the wall, beatnik vibe. Taste tested their Lux blend... Got a rich and spicy kick. Very good. Decided to get their roasted beans and make it at home

UPDATE: 7/17/2022 Back to the fantastically smooth, perfectly sized tears of heaven. The response from the business was as wonderful as the cup of joy. Could one ask for a better cup of coffee? I don't think so. I think their beans are imported from paradise and you would be a fool to skip out on the goodness that your tongue could enjoy. If you don't like the coffee here, go to your parents and get a refund on your defective taste buds. 7/11/2022 I don't know what happened but the mocha I got on Saturday was the worst coffee of my life. That includes cross country backwoods gas stations. Normally the coffee is excellent but this time the chocolate settled out along with the hemp milk and the coffee. Also that was the smallest large coffee of my life. Inflation?
