This isn't a place just for coffee but community. Not only do they serve the community they are surrounded by, but the larger community in Seattle by lifting up other small businesses and organizations owned by folks of color. I can't say enough about how fantastic this place has been since day one.
I love this coffee shop. It has a large and inviting seating area including wheelchair accessible tables with a variety of seating options. The coffee and food options are good quality and taste great, and staff are warm and friendly. There is also a drive thru if you aren't looking to dine in.
Best coffee drinks, amazing combo options thought up by their people and friendliest baristas! I love stopping here on my way to work. Makes my day!
Absolutely love Black Coffee NW. I live in Ballard but drive up for the delicious coffee and the community building events they offer
Ordered a Mexican chocolate latte and loved it. It was too sweet for my taste but diluted it with ice when I got home, yum! I'll order it again but will ask for less syrup. Parking available, indoor seating is open.
What's a well-run place with good staff good food for good coffee
Got an Americano espresso drink. First time there to check it out. Spacious dining area to relax within. Coffee was great.
Great coffee and service in an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. I also love that they are about giving back and investing in our young people.

Personally did not enjoy their espresso beverages, especially the cappuccino. Milk wasn’t aerated correctly which caused large bubbles and also steamed too hot. I found the espresso out of balance and slightly too bitter.. perhaps just a bad dial which I know can happen sometimes. The cold brew is pretty good!! I will still be coming here when I don’t want to make coffee at home because I love what this place stands for.
Don't let them ppl run you out of Shoreline Washington. We need more self ownership ppl like you! You have the right to be here just like any other business owner. So don't give up or give in. We love your coffee!

Their blue raspberry red bull italian soda is bangin 👍🏾 Just wished they sold larger sizes. I like 32oz but they only go up to 20oz.

My family and I LOVE Black Coffee!! We’ve gotten a number of different types of drinks and all have been fabulous. The baked goods never disappoint and I highly recommend the potato scone!! It’s my favorite. On top of the coffee and food, the service is incredible. One time my husband forgot to grab the scone we ordered and was already to the car when an employee personally brought it out for him. It was so kind. We love Black Coffee Northwest and can’t recommend it enough!
Wow! I enjoyed this place. It was my first time there on 1/26/23 and my co-worker and I enjoyed it and now this is the only place we plan on going to get coffee from here on out. The staff was really kind and took their time making our drinks. I look forward to trying all the drinks on the menu. 🤗
Staff and espresso were excellent. It's a good place to relax and talk and drink.
We arrived on short notice with a large group of middle school students. The owners and employees at Black coffee were so friendly, patient, and creative given the circumstances. They were able to accommodate all of us and even gave a tour of the youth facilities. Truly a wonderful place - thanks so much for having us.
