Super local, you get stars which convert to free coffee, very small but special.
Dishonest pricing. I ordered a 12 oz Americano. Menu says it's $3.25. I'm rung $4.69?? The barista says they updated their prices but not the menu. I just left without completing the order. I don't like thinking I'm paying one price and getting charged over a dollar more out of nowhere. Also I noticed that their tea prices increase with each size. I hate when places do that cause it's only more water in the cup. All tea sizes should be the same price if only the amount of water is increasing. Edit to respond to owner's response: The barista did not inform me of a letter on the counter. She did tell me the prices had been increased but the chalkboard hadn't been updated. It's not that I "didn't bother" to notice the letter on your counter, I didn't see it. I only saw the menu. I think it would make more sense to update the menu before the price change went into effect, especially since it's on a chalkboard. I frequent this place whenever I'm in the neighborhood but I'm disappointed in this interaction.
Got the P.S. I love you this morning… absolutely spectacular. Forgot the name of who was working Saturday morning (25th) but you deserve a raise. I haven’t had that great of coffee in a very long time! Much love and wish the business the best the rest of the year!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to west Seattle in 2020 and it’s become one of my faves in the city. Their specialty drinks are creative and delicious, but they nail the classics as well. One thing I am particularly impressed by is their food. I feel like coffee shops that offer food tend to be a let down, but the breakfast sandwiches here omg. Another level for coffee shop food. To me there’s nothing better than a Youngstown breakfast sandwich paired with an iced vanilla latte. It totally makes my day. On top of it all, the employees here are so nice. This place truly can’t be beat.
Such a cute spot and the coffee was perfect. Got the “p.s. I love you” and it was just the right amount of sweet.

absolutely amazing coffee and fantastic customer service. the baristas here are friendly, kind and great at what they do. their iced lattes are some of my favorite in WS!
The best coffee shop! Almost every other coffee shop in W. Seattle upcharges for non-dairy milk. Why? At the grocery store they are the exact same price! Not Youngstown though, thanks for accepting and supporting the needs of others. Did I mention the rotating drink specials? Or the super user friendly app so you can order ahead? And their coffee drinks are better than most in the area anyways! Youngstown is so accepting and supportive no matter who you are, what you can drink, etc., you will not be disappointed.
so so so so lgbtq+ friendly!!! everyone was friendly, vibe was so calm and lovely, and menu looks great! someone let me know how the breakfast burrito is! i got a bagel :)

Great food especially if you’re vegetarian and awesome dairy free options like dairy free egg nog lattes. It’s hard to find coffee shops that have good vegetarian food AND dairy free drinks!

Poor customer service! The baristas are rude, not welcoming, and never smile! It’s almost as if they hate what they do. We had a specific interaction with one of the baristas who was extremely rude that made us never want to return again. Will be going to C&P coffee or other local places from now on, who always give us a good experience with their excellent customer service, and positive and pleasant demeanor.

Got to finally check out Youngstown Coffee not named after my birthplace in Ohio. Vibes are super chill and the staff is really nice. They have breakfast sandwiches too. I got my normal single tall vanilla oat milk latte drink and it was top 3 I’ve had on the West Side. I’ll be back for sure and will let you know how the breakfast options go.
Nice people. That's it. They never have gluten-free pastries. Their savory, glutinous pastry is ALWAYS dill and parmesean, which is gross. Every time I get a cappuccino, it is really just a latte. Their ratio of foam to milk is always off. The milk is never microfoam, always MACRO. The shots always taste over extracted. I'm still drinking.it because I paid 5 bucks, but I don't enjoy it.
Fun coffee shop with friendly staff and delicious options! The fall specials were really good!
