I was walking by this coffee shop and noticed a sandwich board with specialty drinks outside. I love specialty drinks and out of 5 listed on the board I wanted to try 3. I picked the most unusual one which was a lemon drop latte ($6.20). It was amazing and I regret not getting the biggest size because I finished my 8oz cup in two sips (: It tasted exactly like a lemon drop cake. They change their specialty drinks every season. They use housemade syrups for specialty beverages which is a big plus in my book. They also have a website with their regular menu online. The cafe itself is very light and welcoming. It’s also great that the baristas get predictable wage, I wish more cafe owners did that.

Great option for coffee and snacks close to the arboretum! Their opening hours are reliable, you just might have fewer options later in the day, but that’s understandable.

The coffee is great, and the staff were super friendly to me, so I found it kind of sketch that a (fairly) small-business coffee shop in Seattle doesn’t let you tip their baristas. It’s a normal part of our culture out here to show appreciation with a tip. It should at least be an option.

None of the pastry prices are available without asking (weird). Apparently if you ask about the price of more than two pastries, the barista will get annoyed and offer going to the cafe across the street as a solution. I’m glad I took her up on that- they were much friendlier, and the serving sizes and quality were better.

Nice ambience, but expensive even by Seattle standards. Staff not friendly at this location. Snippy and treat customers dismissively as if they are inconveniences.

Look out, there are invisible customers at Fuel! The scene: I'm walking in, see only a single person, seated, in Fuel Coffee. Two workers are behind the counter. Me, walking up to ask a question about the menu: "Hi, I - " Worker #1: "We're serving other customers right now. Stand over there [waves at a small sign that says "order here"] and we'll get to you when we're done." Me, looking around and seeing literally no other customers: "Uh...ok." Yes, dear reader, I wasn't allowed to ask a question until I was standing in the right location and they had completed their tasks. Follow the rules and you, too, can order a hot beverage at Fuel! (The hot beverages were fine, though they were out of some breakfast food items. There are plenty of tables and a good selection of books for purchase.)

Place was nice. Coffee was pretty poor. I ordered an Americano that was so bland I thought I might have covid.

I enjoyed my latte and loved browsing their book selection. There’s tons of seating: both indoor and on a back patio.

Not my cup of tea, or coffee in this case. I tend to like a darker roast, which they offer none of, and I thought the coffee itself was a bit too "fruity" tasting. There is also an overly sterile feel to the inside vs the warm feeling of the neighborhood surrounding it. I had a breakfast biscuit that was very tasty, but only lukewarm, which was a disappointment. The highlight of the visit was the person at the counter, as she was very pleasant!

Great ambience for working and really has a homely vibe. The homemade Chai was really good and it tasted similar to a good Indian chai
