Don't pay attention to the 3 star comment on here. If you have social media, you'll be up to date on the happenings and going on of this incredible little cafe. Reasonable prices, delicious entrées and wonderful service every time I've gone. Have never left disappointed.
I finally found a place that has amazing food! These dishes come straight from the heart! The food and baked goods have texture, layers of flavor, and is top notch! These ladies are nocking the competition out of the park! You got to go here, whether your local, or just passing through this is it!
This place is so cute and quaint. I love the china, their hot chocolate is so awesome, and I love looking at all the book titles. It's a cute place to escape reality for a while.
Disappointed 😞 We heard wonderful things so we were excited to try it. They opened at 10 so we got there for brunch only to be told you can only have coffee, a scone or a lemon bar until 11. Everyone else asked for breakfast too. Why open at 10 if you can't eat until 11? If there was a savory biscuit or something else to offer it would be better. We will definitely give them another chance but we were so disappointed.
This place is amazing! It’s super cozy and the food is delicious. It’s a book store so, if you are there for books or food you will definitely love it here. They have GF options as well as vegetarian options, which is great because it caters to all. The staff is super friendly and the vibes are immaculate. One of my favorite places to go. If you have a chance to visit, order their hot chocolate and don’t forget to get some pastries!
Not sure how to rate this place just yet. The business model is a little bizarre! They open at 10 on a Saturday morning but don't serve breakfast until 11. I don't recall seeing any clear information on their website that stated that. The website is not very user friendly either. We decided to get there right as it opened so that we could beat the crowds because we heard it was an amazing place to eat. We very disappointed to find out that they were only serving pastries and either drip or French press coffee. We did stay and try some but it was definitely not what we were looking for. The ladies in the restaurant were nice but it was a bit disheveled because they were preparing for some event that was happening later that morning. We don't know the food was because we didn't get to try it. We will try again some other time when we are back in town. The atmosphere is very quaint and we definitely enjoyed the aesthetics of the place. Hopefully they live up to their reputation.

You just can't go wrong. Have been here several times and never disappointed. The help is outstanding.
This is such a cute place! Their food is amazing and I love all of the books. They also have the best decorated bathroom that I've seen in Grays Harbor County!
My new favorite place to eat! The food is delicious with a menu that changes depending upon availability, farm to table. The ambiance is so comfortable and inviting. My two favorites paired, great food and books. The plates even look like opened books! I’m in love with this cafe and am so happy they have opened here in Montesano. Can’t recommend enough. Love it!
What a great place....excellent food, everything prepared in site. The combined setting of a Cafe and book shop makes for a really cozy place to share lunch with friends. We took our 96-year-old friend Marge there last week, and we all loved it! I had the potato fish cakes which were excellent! And the lemon cake is not to be missed!! Yummers all.....😍🤩🤗
Lovely setting. A quaint bookstore with some treasures awaiting you to discover them, like fantastic richly scented candles(with lids so they don't overwhelm the aromas of the yummies) Great people making delicious treats and main course meals from an ever changing menu. It's an altogether experience. Not just a restaurant..
This place is fantastic. Their hot chocolate is the best I've ever had; it's like drinking a brownie! The chef has an evident appreciation for food, which shows in every bite.
Don't hesitate, make a dinner reservation and enjoy. They nailed everything.

Charming cafe. Food is fresh and well prepared. Book selection is not big, but interesting. A surprising find for this rural area.
We stumbled across this gem while celebrating the completion of a stressful case at the courthouse. Arriving at the unfortunate hour between lunch and dinner service, we were delighted to find the kitchen still serving soup of the day, goat cheese and rosemary bread, and an assortment of pastries. We sat at the cafe tables outside, and the kind and friendly staff brought out water glasses and tableware. Everything was so flavorful and the bread was wonderfully soft - even the plates were cute book shaped pieces. It's clear that the proprietors put love into everything they do here.
First time there. Very good food and unique. Everything fresh made with a continuously changing menu. A nice selection of books also.
We have never had anything less than amazing from here.
