I arrived outside at the hostess desk. After about 2 min hostess arrived. My service dog was not identified, expecting the heat, not a requirement for admission. She asked what service my dog provides. I explained that Sugar, boxer mix, is trained to assist me when I fall, as I fall a lot. The hostess said, just a minute and went back inside. After five long minutes the hostess still hadn't returned. We chose to leave. We did not feel welcome.
I ordered the chorizo Benedict and a cinnamon roll. The eggs Benedict arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered, and that’s all that was on the plate. Didn’t get hash browns or potatoes, nothing. Just a blast with two eggs Benedict that cost $15 lol. Then, we never received our cinnamon roll and they tried to charge us for it. All in all, the food, that I actually received, was good. But, besides that, I feel ripped off.
Pretty good breakfast place, probably will come again if we ever find ourselves in this area again. They do have a lot of misspelled words on their "About Us" cards as well. The strawberries were not fresh and some were pretty nasty so that was disappointing but the monte Cristo was great!
Really super nice staff!! Great food only 5 tables but worth waiting!!
Great place for breakfast! My husband and I absolutely loved the hash browns. Decently priced and the service was quick and friendly.
AWESOME breakfast, super friendly staff. It’s a cozy cafe so be ready to get to know your neighbor table . Some may have a problem with bumping elbows but my son , my cousin, and myself had an amazing experience at Louie’s Cafe ! Try the loaded biscuit its phenomenal. And the kids quesadilla is big enough for multiple if you’re working on a weekend budget ! So good and highly recommend. Edited: can’t find where to attach pictures so our will be uploaded separately ☺️
The Benedict was ok, as was the scramble and the loaded biscuit. Sort of lazy food prep, for a resort type town. The hash brown cake was hideous. It was the most disgusting hash browns I've ever had in my life, and the food wasn't cheap. It wasn't just us, multiple other tables sent back the sheet pan hash brown cake. It tasted like a moldy rotten 2x4. No need to repeat.
Unassuming, small inside. You might even second guess if it's where you want to eat when you come in. The food is standard American that elevates, surprisingly well executed. If you are hungry you may find yourself prioritizing the best parts of your plate and unable to finish as the portions are stacked.
Breakfast wrap with GOUDA. Have you ever tried it? I suppose even if you never step foot in this establishment, you have a nice breakfast idea. But isn't it better when someone else (who is probably a better cook) makes it for you? It's been 3 weeks since we visited Leavenworth, and I still wake up thinking about the crispy bacon, fluffy egg and melted gouda cheese in a soft tortilla. So simple. So delicious. My husband said the eggs Benedict was great too. I tried the hollandaise sauce and can at least confirm that was tasty. The service was pretty good too. We were lucky enough to go during a slower part of the season so we were seated immediately.
The breakfast was amazing we will be back there again.
They were so rude (with the exception of the host). I get being busy, but it takes no time to acknowledge people. Sat for 10 minutes without so much as a nod .... even though server walked by us half a dozen times and number of other folks. No food is good enough I'd pay to be treated like that.
The food was super delicious. It is a nice place to eat. It is cozy and on the smaller side but worth it.
Loved it. Good food, coffee and very personable service. Recommend this lovely place.
Had a bad experience here yesterday. The lady was pretty rude from the time we entered. She seemed like we were inconveniencing or bothering her, then immediately told me I couldn’t come in because of my Starbucks coffee. We ended up literally turning around and leaving before sitting down because of her terrible service. She was rude it made me feel terrible and I was very upset. We ended up going to a different place down the street that was way nicer!
Hands down the best place around that town for breakfast and lunch! Food was amazing both times we went! We will for sure be back when we go to Leavenworth. A+++
It is an American restaurant. My boyfriend got chicken strips and fries. The chicken strips were a little overcooked. The waitress took the chicken strips off the check. That was nice. My son got a hamburger and fries. He had no complaints. My daughter got the fish and chips. She liked it. I got the pancakes. They were good. My kids had the strawberry lemonade. The drink had some crushed up strawberries on the bottom, underneath the ice. The glasses that they came in was canning jars. I got Rootbeer and you are given the Rootbeer bottle and the canning jar with ice. They have very limited seating. They had the people to wait outside to be seated. We waited outside like less than 5 minutes. It is a small restaurant. Overall, they had good food, and very nice staff.
Amazing food!!! Recommend it if you’re looking for a cozy at home feeling type of meal!
Visiting Leavenworth for the first time from Texas. This place was amazing the food was beyond delicious. The Salmon Benedict and Biscuits are to die for. Thank you will definitely come back someday.
Great location, really nice people, and very accommodating, and they have some dishes on the menu that are great, and some that are OK. They are consistent, which is a good. Their pancakes were underwhelming, but I am a pancake connoisseur so there’s that. It seems like they’re savory dishes and sandwiches stand out more. Biscuits and gravy eggs Benedict club sandwich are things I’ve had and are good.
Please like and follow us on Facebook at SNDTavels and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN Update 1.18.23 Breakfast at Louie's. After really enjoying the service and food 5 years ago, this was our first food stop and after all this time it is still great. I had the breakfast wrap that was loaded with eggs, hashbrowns (just enough but not to much) bacon, onion and cheese in a thin, toasted wrap. Perfect mix of ingredients seasoned well and thoroughly enjoyed. Diane had the simple eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and toast. Once again, well seasoned and tasty. This is by far our favorite place we've tried so far on Leavenworth. Please check out our food site at EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN on Facebook. We stopped in at 11am on Saturday and though Diane wanted breakfast I wanted lunch, so when the server said breakfast only until 12 I went to take the menus back to the counter. Karen, the owner, said they would take care of me so we stayed. Good choice. I had the club sandwich on sourdough and Diane had french toast with bacon and eggs. Everything was fresh and wonderful but one of the things that made the lunch enjoyable was the personal service. Karen greeted every customer and personaly checked on each one. Lunch was busy and hecktic but she not only worked it with a pleasant smile but with an attitude that Diane mentioned showed that she truely loved what she was doing. This one comes highly recommended!
