Wish I could give this 0 stars. Horrible service. No acknowledgment of us there. Obviously they were busy and we understand that but to complete ignore customers waiting is rude. She threw coffee on the table and spilled every where. Three bucks for some hot water with a hint of brown color. We walked out after waiting at our table with no service for over 15 minutes. Don’t go here!
Had anice dinner and great breakfast here. Western skillet was perfection.
Their biscuits and gravy were a little undercooked and their eggs (scrambled) were super runny. The service was great tho!
The apple pie alone is worth five stars. It was the best I have eaten in many years, possibly the best I have had in my life. Even if you don’t want a meal, stop here to have a slice of it. Apples with intense flavor, perfectly cooked, neither under nor overdone. Crust flaky as all get out and again, perfectly brown to give that ineffable toasty flavor, without the least hint of drying or burning. Perfection. Their pie cook is an artist, no doubt about it.
Straight forward delicious
was very rushed came in 1 hour before close was asked what we wanted before we sat down or saw a menu. bathroom was frigid as the waitress.
Nice classic breakfast. Quick service, good food and coffee.
Hubby and I were looking for a warm place to dry off and grab a bite to eat. The In Place was perfect. Great staff and food. Had the salmon burger with fries. The fries were crispy. The salmon burger WASN'T a ground salmon patty slapped on a bun. It was a SLAB of delicious salmon on a toasted bun 😋.
We dined in I ordered the meat bowl it was country type potatoes, bacon, ham , sausage with two eggs on top. Very dry and untastfull. My wife and I have eaten thete around 5 or 6 times and have always enjoyed there food. Michael
I wish I had read reviews. Local place with a full parking lot- it’s gotta be a winner right? Nope! Noticed my fork was dirty and asked for a new one, server snatched it away like I should have never asked and didn’t return with another. Ordered two hot chocolates and one came out with a ridiculous amount of whipped cream and hardly any on the other. That was tough explaining to an 8yr old. Ketchup bottle was goopy with a hair stuck to it. My french dip was more than just the ends of the prime rib it was the burnt bits. The burger was good. The kids mac and cheese was fine. These days it’s hard to tell if a server is short handed or rude so I tip regardless. When I went to pay I didn’t leave the tip on my credit card and the server gave me a dirty look and a sarcastic thank you. I adjusted the 20% tip I had left on the table in cash down a couple bucks. Try your luck for a good meal somewhere else in town.
Very good place to get breakfast, the only place open for breakfast around forks.
The atmosphere is great, love the decor, I had the chili, it was alright, I also had the chicken fried steak with asparagus, and mashed potatos, it also came with a dinner roll, and it was better than I expected. The Asparagus was cooked perfectly, I was kind of worried that it was going to be stringy, put it wasn't. The chicken fried steak was really good , and I wasn't expecting much from it as I haven't ever had that, but was pleasantly surprised, the mashed potatoes were bussin. My server was very nice. However I was disappointed in the lack of choices on the menu, not a lot of vegetarian options, overall if you want home-cooked meal away from home, this is the place to go.
Best place in town! Friendly, fast, amazing food. We ate here two days in a row, you get large proportions at an affordable price and they knocked it out fast and hot both days
My dad and I got breakfast every day of our Forks trip here! Delicious traditional American breakfasts, a nice and friendly atmosphere, and sweet servers! My favorite meal was the smoked salmon omelette or the smoked salmon sandwich (lunch). Loved the hot chocolate too :)
It was fine, nothing extra special, but very convenient and decent food.
Food was awesome, service was very attentive and quick! There was a plaque for some guys that come in during the mornings and I thought that was cute as well as the server asking what people wanted by name across the diner. Definitely small time feel!
We ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy and a chicken friend steak meal. Large portions on both. My only complaint was the price of the chicken friend steak meal. We would go again.
The low rating is not accurate! Food was prepared well and tasted really good (biscuits was fluffy). It was busy with lots of locals having breakfast, coffee and conversation. The service was great, staff was friendly and my coffee cup was never left half full. Definitely a great option for breakfast before heading out to go exploring Rialto or Ruby beaches.
The food here is definitely on the higher echelon in terms of small town Cafe style food. Everything is fresh and cooked well. The place is very clean, and the decor is local, fun and definitely not reminiscent of a chain restaurant; the service is friendly and efficient. They often have good specials in addition to the regular menu. In an atmosphere of restaurant prices doubling over the last 3 to 4 years, the prices are actually still quite reasonable. It's our favorite place in Forks.
Great service and the breakfast plates are great! I always try and stop in when I'm in town!
