You get what you pay for it was delicious for my birthday and they even had dog treats that you could give your puppies or your dog
The honey bun cake was delightful. Breakfast was overpriced and just okay. It was the only place that was open when we stayed at a nearby hotel.
Lovely bakery near the North Cascades. The cinnamon rolls and cheesecake are excellent!
Was kinda very disappointed in the birthday cake I ordered. It was a naked birthday cake . Never in my life have I ever seen someone want to buy a birthday cake with literally no icing. I asked for the whole thing to be Robin egg blue like the Easter cake only the top was .. over all if they weren't closed Tuesday and Wed I would of had them fix it but I was already low on time to go get a cake anywhere else ...also it was extremely dry.. one of the driest cakes I ever had in my life. Also wasn't too happy they don't do any writings. Next time I'll go elsewhere
So I did a delivery to these folks yesterday and was asking about bread because I've recently decided to go reasonably gluten free. I have tried many different makers and they've all been, shall I say "blah" at best, "horrible" at worse. They generally share many characteristics that I dont like. Their super dense, to the point that when your chewing the dough it actually packs into and gums up your teeth, but the worse thing is how they impact the taste. It doesnt matter whats on it, it always renders the taste moot. I could put tons of mustard on a corned beef sandwich and I'll barely taste the filling. So back to the delivery, as I'm telling Em how I've given up sandwiches she says she'll give me a loaf to take home and try. So I finish up and she let's me pick out a loaf after asking me what I want it for and suggesting some different types. I chose Rosemary and walnut. Que to today and I decide to make a sandwich with my new 3'bs bread. First thing of note is its not dense and compact like banana bread, so I'm already pretty happy. Throw on Ham, Cheddar and a little Guacamole, and sit down. Now I never get to excited when trying a new gluten free bread so as not to be disappointed when it comes out tasting like all the others. OMG! I can taste everything and it's not gumming up my teeth and I'm not trying to swallow a thick ball of bread. I was half expecting to taste a whole lot of Rosemary, but that wasn't the case at all. It's definitely there and that's OK because I like rosemary, but even tasting that I can still taste everything on my sandwich. I can't tell you how excited I am that I can once again have Sammy's. I should have known because I often get a bakery item when I deliver here and they've always been quite good. Thanks Em for giving me that loaf of bread and allowing me the ability to eat sandwiches again. I now know where to get gluten free bread and will forever be a lover of your bakery.
I really hate to give a low star rating because we've been here a few years ago and the baked goods were wonderful. We decided to make a trip to Concrete for breakfast and desert for later. The muffins were not fresh. The only thing that tasted decent was the frosting. As we ate the cupcakes they were falling apart...not fresh soft crumbs but hard and dry. I was disappointed at how dry and stale the cupcakes were. Not sure we'll make another special trip to the bakery.
Lovely shop to stop by or dine in, also try their savoury pie. All gluten free goodies, very busy place.
This place was so amazing! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Their bakery offered such a wide array of options. They offered many options you often don't get to experience at other places if you're gluten free. Everything I've tried was delicious and I highly recommend the Duffins. And there was a good mix between sweet and savory options.
Biscuits and gravy was extremely good... Thank you
Cute Bakery with a great variety of delicious treats. Their Latte and Coffeed are amazing,! So glad we stopped in Concrete for a treat on our Sunday Drive!
Good breakfast. Drinks and pastries were okay
Very delicious breakfast, and very friendly service!
Clean, crafty, and great tasting! Wish I could eat more!
We drive 60 miles to Concrete just to visit 5b's, and it's always worth the drive!!
Amazing goodies. And you’d never know that they are all gluten free!
Update: decided to try again and very happy I did. I was a little worried when a dry looking snicker doodle was served with my sandwich, but as soon as I picked it up I knew looks were deceiving. It was very soft and a wonderful texture and taste. The house made chai latte was very yummy and you can really taste the honey in the foam. I will be back again, great job! First time in so I wanted to try a variety of treats to see what was best. Prices were very reasonable and the coffee and cinnamon rolls were very good. Everything else however tasted like it had been sitting in the display case for at least a day or two. Very dry and, in my opinion, heavy on the ginger. The lemon poppy seed was nearly inedible, not the least bit lemony.
Great place to sit and relax. Great food, friendly staff and owner
So happy to find a celiac safe 100% gluten free restaurant. The lasagna is my favorite, but it's all absolutely amazing.
Awesome little bakery. We stopped in and met the owner today and she was so sweet and kind. We had a great time getting to know just a bit about here and sharing an awesome experience at the bakery. I’m not gluten free, but it didn’t really matter. Great people and great food.
We come here often and always enjoy the atmosphere as well as the gluten free treats. Love the coffee as well!
