Delicious moon biscuits and gravy! Highly recommend reserving the VW bus for your meal!! Seats 4 comfortably.
We will be back. It is hard to describe how much we enjoyed our experience here and we are so glad that we did have because this location is perfect. To start, the amazingly kind lady who took our orders(you order then sit fyi) was very patient and even played a Kazoo for our son during our brunch date... amazing. But the food too.. breakfast is breakfast, but sometimes you find a place that truly cares and wants you to enjoy your meal. That was HI Lo's agenda in our opinion. Every single employee was genuinely kind and happy! It's just a wonderful atmosphere all around!
After 12 beautiful years I think it's about time I leave a review. This magical place will have you feeling like a million bucks. their short but simple menu has really not changed much either, their tried & true dishes will have you coming back!! I love everything on the menu but if I had to choose a last meal I'm going for the chorizo plate! The value, the quality, the people, the atmosphere. Just all top notch!! Yummy food.. Warm and happy servers.. pretty cool retro wibe.. Highly recommended!! Go early.. because they do run out of food items ( yes!! That popular)..

If you get a chance to be seated in the bus it's a fun little experience. And on colder days there is a heater in the bus so you don't have to worry about getting cold. good drip coffee offered no specialty coffees though. Staff is friendly. During busy hrs it can be a good wait however you can call for seating ahead of time.
I went for my birthday, made a reservation for the Yoda room. The atmosphere is so fun, and the owner came in with a kazoo to play Happy Birthday for me. It's a great place to go.
Super friendly team and great food! My coffee cup was never empty and the food portions are just right. A really great experience!
i politely asked if any items off the menu were vegan or could be made vegan. i have been vegan for 25 years as of the point of this edit. 20 years since the review. i was ready for a simple "no" from this place. i never expect any business to have vegan options. that was not sufficient. the server had to yell at the top of her lungs over the morning crowd that they didn't have anything vegan. after this, she proclaimed that she would ask the kitchen, and without waiting for my response screamed across the room to the kitchen staff asking if anything could be made vegan. this clearly disrupted kitchen staff as one person stepped out with a spatula in hand and offered "maybe a bowl of fruit?" while shaking his head and rolling his eyes back dramatically and the server condescendingly said "yeah, MAYBE we can do a bowl of fruit." i have never in my life witnessed service like this, toward myself or anyone else, and i will never forget this.

I stopped by with my traveling buddies for the first time last month, thinking we were going to be able to order from the walk up window and take it to go. We were all pleasantly surprised to be greeted with...excitement? a kind of energy that made us all feel at home. then we were promptly taken into the Yoda room which we had all to ourselves, a delightful surprise for my bunch of introverts. the staff and food were all amazing, very reasonably priced for delicious quality food. this is a must stop now for my travels through WA!
First time coming back to Hi-Lo’s after the pandemic. We reserved the VW through Facebook and Heidi called me right away with reservation times. It was really easy and we’re so happy to visit our favorite brunch spot! Thank you again for the great service and delicious food!

I love this place. The moon biscuits and gravy are amazing. The sausage gravy actually has chunks of sausage in it! Wait can be long but it's worth it.
I wish the dining-in was reopened by now, but I still enjoy the high energy and fun loving attitudes here. Got to see bubbles today. Still nice to hang out with my neighbors while waiting for food.
Amazing! Hi and Lo are the best humans ever. Eat here, give them your patronage. This is how all food joints should be. Eat in the bus, it'll change your life.
Very cool breakfast place. Make sure to check out the dining VW bus. Super cool place to eat a quick bite inside the heated bus. Take out only on the weekend.
The food is amazing. Indoor seating continues to be closed meaning you have to wait in your car or outside while they make your food. Whenever I order (normally for two people) the food takes about 40 minutes. You cannot order ahead of time
