The split pea soup is absolutely amazing! The breakfast sandwich is also killer. I also ordered a caffe mocha and it was perfect. Great atmosphere too, employees are wonderful. It got a little too loud for me to study there but the volume level just depends on how busy it is :)
Very friendly. Ordering process is the same as any walk-in order first restaurant. It’s spacious inside. There are many choices for coffee drinks but expect to wait a bit. Food-Only one choice for vegans which is order the veggie sandwich without cheese. Didn’t see and asked for vegan option for muffins and cookies and nothing available.
I asked for a large iced coffee and was given a large iced espresso which cost almost $8. I should’ve paid more attention to the charge. No other coffee drink on the menu was more than $4. There was not a beverage that cost $8 on the menu. The barista suggested the iced espresso to me instead of the iced coffee. I asked if they didn’t have iced coffee and that was the closet thing they could do. I feel the price should have been mentioned. Do I look like I want to spend $8 when I ask for an iced coffee? Oh and I tipped on top of that so it was actually a $9 iced coffee. The barista was actually nice and I wanted to tip but definitely whatever allowed her to charge me $8 for the beverage I got should be removed from their touchscreen as an option cuz it was a bummer of an experience.
This a really nice quiet cafe. Great Coffee and Pastries. Excellent WiFi.
Didn't eat or drink anything, but pleasant atmosphere
Pretty sure they didn't charge me right this time. So that's a bummer. But in general this place is fantastic!
A cozy place with great coffee and pastry
A new favorite coffee shop. Great coffee taste.
Always the best lattes and I'm VERY picky
Consistently one of the most friendly in town. Coffee and food is always good, especially the soups and pastries. Parking better than most of downtown.
The atmosphere of the place was a little more upscale then necessary considering what it is. The staff were friendly if a little bit distant. The prices are a bit high, although not excessive by any means. But honestly, it was maybe the best cup of coffee I have had in a long time. Absolutely worth checking out. I had a very simple double tall Americano and it was amazing. For those that know, you can't hide a lot in that drink. It's just 2 shots and a bit of hot water, and it was as close to perfect as I have ever had.
Very great coffee shop, with great coffee.
Amazing sandwich and coffee, loved it
Great cafe. Simple menu. Food was delicious. Coffee too was well done. Fortuitously, the live band with their jazzy relaxing music made our visit splendid. There's also a cozy spot with couches and toys for little ones as well. Baristas and servers were so pleasant. Will visit this cafe again. Today 022523, we came here as a memorial to our recently deceased beloved mother. She ate, sipped on her raspberry latte at 160⁰ and chilled out with us at Adagio. We had good memories of our time with her here at the cafe. The staff went beyond their service. They made our latte in memory of our beloved mom and named it Rita. They also offered us a complimentary scone as well. THANK YOU ALL for everything.
Cozy little coffee shop, great for meeting new people
One of the OG coffee spots in Bellingham. I love to come down here on a rainy day and throw on the headphones and work when I’ve been cooped up in the office for too long. You definitely have a crowd of regulars unsurprising as this place has been here forever. There paninis are great, their soup specials are usually really good and their coffee is good too. If you’re visiting Bellingham for a few days or just moved here, you definitely should come check place out for a coffee or lunch.
Absolutely love this place! found it a few weeks ago and is now my go to for coffee.
I just got asked to leave Cafe Adagio because I had sat down with an outside coffee cup. Bear in mind, I understand the conflict t of interest in whose coffee you drink, but I hadn't even had one minute to order the soup, which I usually do. The woman came and said they had noticed the last time I was in, I only asked for a cup of water. Did they notice ALL the other (about 15) times that I ordered lunch or breakfast or bought Christmas candles? This is a place I frequent and ONCE I visited without actually purchasing anything. I am so upset. I am not someone coming in just to use the bathroom, I am not a vagrant coming in to get warm. I am a human being that hadn't even been sitting for 5 minutes before she swooped over to me to ensure I would pay for something. I didn't realize Adagio was all about the money. I thought in this day and age, you err on the side of kindness. You just never know what someone might be going through.
I go here frequently, one of my favorite coffee spots in all of Bellingham! My go-to is a lavender vanilla latte, tastes stunning every time!
We stopped in fairly early in the day (8am, they open at 7) for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and and espresso (Americano). Both were very good. Service was friendly and there were many tables available in the very spacious cafe area. (Tables available outdoors too.) They had a wide variety of baked goods from Mount Bakery on display (maybe even more than I typically see at the actual Mount Bakery!). The breakfast sandwich was *almost* as good as Camber's (summer-recipe) biscuit sandwich. TIP: Order the sandwich with the grilled onions and jalapeno aoili (we did this) and ask for the sandwich to spend a little extra time on the grill. (I plan to do this next time. Mine was warm enough but the cheese wasn't fully melty and it would have been even better with a bit of crispness in the focaccia.)
