Superb coffee, the oat milk they use is great, beautiful spot to sit on the bay, cool staff, can't go wrong here.
Five stars!! I have had a wonderful experience everytime I've been here. I come here to wait for my husband after work, and on mine and my husband's anniversary, the gentleman at the counter kept an eye out for him and congratulated us! Another one that's super important to me; Kenzie!!!! Oh my gosh she is wonderful! Kenzie went above and beyond with her service for me yesterday! I was a having an absolutely horrible day yesterday and she met me with a smile. I asked if I could bring my dog in and she explained how unfortunately I couldn't. So instead she mentioned how I could just set my dog outside. I thought this was a great idea! However, a train happened to come by and there were so many people that my dog began to have a meltdown. He began barking and being a bit of a nuisance! Kenzie just had an overall Wonderful attitude about it. She came right over to me and just took my order from right outside while I calmed my dog down. She even grabbed my card and brought my dog some dog treats! It seriously made my day how compassionate and empathetic she was. Wonderful employee! She also remembered my favorite order today! On top of this, the atmosphere is so clean, cozy, and homey! I would absolutely recommend this place It's also super awesome that they already pay their employees a living wage.

Super friendly barista. Told us they brew their own chai, we had to try it. It was delicious with macadamia and/or almond milk.
They sell natural wine! If you like low intervention and funky wines. This is the place to get a bottle to take home. Coffee is great too!

Black Fern Coffee is great. Not only are their drinks out of this world, but their customer service is also truly exceptional. Shoutout to Thatcher! Thanks for serving up such stellar drinks and kindness.
Absolutely the best, without a doubt, baked goods in Bellingham! Worth the stroll down from anywhere downtown on a sunny day to enjoy a great coffee and an amazing scone. Super chill vibes on the patio overlooking the bay. Come for a cup of coffee and DO NOT forget a scone!

Really great atmosphere. I'm not sure the type of coffee it's an acquired taste.
We never expected it to be there, but when we found it, hidden at the waterside, it appeared a great place. Nice view, lovely personnel and delicious drinks and snacks. When one of our dogs accidentally hit our table and dropped our espresso, they gave us a new one for free. 🥰
Nice little coffee shop hidden away in the Granary Building next to the Waterfront Park. We went there too late, after 2 pm, so the kitchen was closed. Menu looks unique and coffee options are some of the same and some unique. Definitely coming back. Small gifts also available. The view of the Whatcom Creek Waterway is just outside. Lots of area to walk around, a small rocky beach and small park for kids.
Enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate drink. The baristas are really friendly and there's lots of space for big groups to hang out.
Perfect for getting some work done in the AM, lunch & fun meet up in the afternoon, & excellent spot for a glass of wine to enjoy in the PM. Salads & sams & staff are wonderful and don’t get me started on the cordamom buns!
Do yourself a favor and head to Black Fern. The coffee is great. The food is delicious (currently munching on their beet salad as I type). The vibe is welcoming. I especially love their vegan and gluten free baking, although I am neither vegan nor gluten free. I could eat the vegan pumpkin loaf for every meal.

Black Fern is so fun and bright! We love to combine a visit for tasty drinks and delicious Gluten Free baked goods with a trip to the pump track or waterfront playground. Great views, family friendly, and a nice place to set up my computer to work remote. Thanks for the GF treats, Black Fern, we can't wait to return!
Good seating, pretty good espresso, atmosphere could be a little more cohesive, it’s not the coziest. I haven’t tried it but it’s probably great for evening outings !
