I discovered this coffee shop in Virginia Beach a number of years ago. stopped at their newest location in Norfolk in 2022, and again this year in 2023 while visiting. I usually get the same thing. A landlubber cold brew, and the Becky sandwich. Both are fantastic. I think I prefer them more rustic ambience of the original location in Virginia Beach, but the Norfolk location is also very nice. A little bit more sleek and modern. I would definitely recommend.

Three Ships is consistently the BEST coffee in VB. Their espresso has picked me up in my most groggy moments & is a great way to start the day :) Lovely people & atmosphere. Always have a ground bag of their organic brew @ home. Love this local biz. 💛☕️

Five stars but not for the Terrible coffee; the worst breakfast sandwich ever; and wonky WiFi. Nice people. Nice environment. A respite under terrible stress. Missed my Amtrak connection nearby. And a good Samaritan on his way to that coffee shop helped me up after a bad fall off the curb. Five stars for the humanity!

My partner introduced me to Three Ships today, and I had a wonderful experience! The service was top-notch - the staff was friendly and welcoming, and they made sure my order was perfect and quickly delivered. I tried their famous Nutella Pop-tart, and it was absolutely delicious - the perfect blend of chocolatey and flaky goodness. But what really impressed me was their commitment to supporting local farmers. I tried their Strawberry Pungo Latte, and it was amazing - the freshness of the strawberries really came through in every sip. I love that Three Ships is dedicated to using locally-sourced ingredients, and it really shows in the quality of their drinks. Overall, I highly recommend Three Ships Coffee Roasters - great service, amazing food and drinks, and a commitment to supporting the local community.

Went in to get a coffee, specifically stated a large cup of coffee. Was handed a extremely small cup of coffee. I asked then, is this large? Was told we only have one size. How convenient! Its not about the cost, it's about being forthcoming and letting your clients know that you only have one size. This was my very first time in this place, I didn't know? The server knew, and didn't tell the client, that keeps the door open for this business. I definitely won't recommend and definitely won't return! This provides you with the character of the owner!

Such a cool vibe here! I had an Americano and The Becky biscuit sandwich - both were delicious! Went to the farmers market after, which was half a block away. I’ll definitely be back!

Loves the atmosphere, the coffee, and the space. It's a little noisy for getting work done, but has a good vibe nevertheless.

If you find yourself in Virginia Beach and in need of a delightful caffeine fix, look no further! I just moved to the area a few months ago and this is my go to spot. This coffee shop has everything you need to start your day with a smile. For those who love a cold brew, the land lubber is a favorite that never disappoints. If you're feeling tired and need a little extra boost, the espresso is the perfect pick-me-up! For a more balanced and sweeter taste, I highly recommend the cappuccino…. it truly is the perfect cup. And don't worry if you don’t like coffee, they got you covered with pastries and other goodies. Also if you prefer vegan options, they have a few to choose from. The pastries are always fresh and delicious, making this shop a good place to indulge in a treat or two. Grab a cup of Joe and take a Sandy stroll on the beach or enjoy the laid back atmosphere at the shop. Either way it’s the perfect place for locals and tourist to get quality coffee and snacks!

I love the coffee here it’s great. I will say though that charging 1.00 for a splash of oat milk in a drip coffee is absurd. I can understand if it was a latte or a beverage made with a lot of milk but a splash is just not right. Even Starbucks doesn’t charge for a milk substitute for non latte style beverages.

An okay coffee aroma entering the building. Darker dreary interior with wilted plants in desperate need of a drink. Large colorful murial on the wall. Bathroom was missing a finished ceiling. Unfortunately they were out of any almond, soy, and oat milk substitutes. They didn't have the capability to warm a muffin. Still we ordered the pumpkin latte but it wasn't as good as we expected. The plain coffee with milk was horrible. It didn't taste like coffee and the milk was possibly spoiled. We dumped it while walking. We were in agreement that is was not a good coffee stop.

More than 5 stars for the breakfast burrito. You must try with the house sauce. Great vibe and service. The coffee I’ll say It gives an aftertaste that isn’t pleasant. So the starts is more about the burrito the vibe and the people inside than the coffee and very expensive place for just breakfast and coffee and maybe a cookie!

Pour over was good, and the atmosphere was nice. Lots of paling around between the staff l, so service was slow. Son tried the Matcha and it is not my thing. Others might enjoy.

I came in for breakfast and Zoe was a doll. She had a positive sunny and professional demeanor and she aimed to please. This was 7am Friday morning! I needed that. Thanks Zoe!!

At 11am, they were out of most of the food menu. Ended up getting egg tacos, that were only egg patty and a little cheese. Didn't taste bad, but it was something a 7 year old would make themselves. The ham and cheese croissant had been toasted, but the inside was cold. Like just out of the fridge cold. Espresso was good and served with sparkling water. The cold brew was a disappointing glass full of ice and weak coffee. Decor and vibe are decent, but would not recommend.

I found mold on my grill cheese. I asked to swap it out for a drink. In the end I should have just got my money back and tried somewhere else.
