The orange & cranberry scone was very good. Not as dry as many scones can be. The mushroom & Swiss croissant was also very tasty and savory. Light & flavorful. Chai spice tea and latte were on point. Service was just a tad slow in that our four items each came out one at a time, requiring four trips back to the counter.

I found myself on this side of town early morning and wanted to try out a locally-owned coffee shop. Online and printed on their door both stated that they open at 7am weekdays, but when I arrived at 7:30am, the open sign was off. I stuck around in the parking lot for 10 minutes before leaving to find another nearby Cafe. I checked their Facebook page to see if there was an update (maybe a family emergency or something else that would change their hours) but I didn't see anything. If I find myself over here another day I'd still like to try this place out, seems like people who get through the door enjoy this cafe.

Had nothing but flat whites and they were WONDERFUL. Super accommodating staff. Great place. Spent most of my time in town here when visiting.

Great staff! Bought the London Fog and a spinach bacon quiche which was both yummy. They also have some interesting signature drinks which I would try next time I visit.

They actually start with a double espresso with their small size! Most only give a single shot and have to ask for more!!! Even though there is food set out, the scone I got was decent, and luckily not dry which is good for me. I got a latte as well, and it had decent flavor, nothing extra added, no need for flavors in my coffee. I always get pretty bummed out when you order a coffee at a cafe, and whether or not you dine in or not, they still give you a paper cup, which kind of kills the mood of going to a coffee shop. That is a very Starbucks/corporate thing to do in my opinion.

Do you like try new things ? Are you nervous of new places ? -THIS IS NOT THE PLACE . No sense of being welcome, no guidance with menu & be prepared to be stared down LITERALLY while you look at the menu. I love try new places specially support small businesses BUT with places like this, HELL NO. Walked right out because it’s not worth spending money when you already walk in & you feel sense of judgement / stared down. Instead of being assisted or told welcome shoot the girl couldn’t even smile . The bare minimum they couldn’t even do . That’s sad.

Awesome coffee shop, great atmosphere and good customer service. We got the cinnamon roll latte and the husband got a shakerato. Both were delicious. Bonus clean bathrooms!

I encourage the uninitiated to order their usual beverage of choice and then reflect deeply on the quality of Roast Rider’s interpretation.

Not to be missed. I’ve said this many times - Roast Rider is the best coffee in Virginia Beach bar none. Beans are carefully chosen - even the decaf is worthy of a taste. This crew knows what they’re talking about and doing when it comes to beans and roasting and making coffee. Top drawer and a nice atmosphère to boot!

Best coffee in VA Beach. Incredible in-house knowledge of coffee and roasting. Nice atmosphere too. A must try!

Weak horrible flavorless coffee. Stopped because usually coffee shops have better coffee than Starbucks, but this place was awful. Fancy snobby people paying for tasteless expensive coffee. Will never go back. Also, we went quickly to get coffee for my father who was in the hospital going for open heart surgery the next day, didn’t have a chance to tell them in person how bad it really was.

Delicious iced coffee and the homemade Irish Almond syrup is WOW! Small selection of baked goods, so don’t come hungry unless you want…pizza?! Great vibe, very relaxed and open to just working from the store to large families needing a break! Friendly staff too, one of the better local coffee shops on the southeast coast!

I always enjoy time spent at this great coffee shop. The coffee and tea are great, especially the loose leaf tea. The outdoor seating is a great place to catch up with friends.
