First time at the Norfolk location today…highly unimpressed with the staff. The staff working the front counter were very short and snappy and unengaging. The original charm has been lost on this location.

Good place to get pastries. Coffee was average. Like the vibe of this place. Roses were the prettiest when we went there. Croissant and coffee cake were so good.

The BEC is one of the greatest things I've ever put in my mouth. We live in Williamsburg and will drive to VAB, JUST for May's. We are currently looking to move closer to the area.

You won’t be able to pick just one treat. Such a cute little bakery with AMAZING treats and sandwiches. The women at the counter were so sweet too.

Really cute little bakeshop ! The pastries are always tasty and the staff is super friendly. They have seasonal additions like the peppermint cruffin. Nice area to sit down inside too, even though it is small.

After searching for a longgggg time to find someone to do a "wedding cheesecake" for our wedding back in October, we finally found May's Parlor! We frequent there often on the weekends for their tasty coffee and bakery items, but had not realized they would be able to help us with our catering needs! Racheal (unbeknownst to me that she was the owner) was absolutely AMAZING to work with! She got us a beautiful cheesecake for my husband and I to cut at our reception and small mini cheesecakes for the guests! She was even kind enough to offer additional assistance for drop off and storage so that our order would not be sitting out all night while we were enjoying our wedding festivities. After realizing she was the owner, I asked her to call me so I could personally thank her for all of her help! She is running an amazing, not so small anymore, WOMAN OWNED business. Everyone should check out her oceanfront and new Norfolk locations! Thank you so much again to Racheal and her staff for such an amazing experience!

Omg! Memories of Europe and something more. We've been to Northern Europe so, I've tasted such amazing flakiness before but the flavor is definitely something more! Maybe a French influence or just "May's" secret recipe? Absolute perfection!

If you are looking for a place with delicious and fresh pastries options to have with a coffee or take home come here!! Place inside is small but welcoming! Bad thing it doesn’t have a changing table for babies in their bathroom.

If you are staying down by the Ocean front, this is the BEST spot to stop in for a bakery good, cafe style sandwich, or hot breakfast item. Very cozy. The pastries and coffee bar are the best in the Virginia Beach area. As a local, I highly recommend a visit.

Pretentious and poor customer service. I went in to order 12 pastries that I was bringing to a work function off site and really in the morning. I asked if they could cut them each in half so that people didn't have to eat an entire pastry of they didn't want to. The young lady replied that their pastries will only leave the store whole so that they look exactly how they want them. She told me she could give me plastic cutlery and I could cut them my self. I would strongly recommend going to Granier European Bakery instead.
