Everything is good with coffee and the food but staff would have been friendlier
Finally found a European style cafe in VB🤍 Love the vibe of this place and the Colombian girl working here is always so nice. Best croissants and one of the best coffees
Delicious we went for the pastries and they did not disappoint. We each got a drink and pastry. My coffee came with a baby biscotti which was fun. The inside is clean and bright. There is a lot of seating including outside covered seating.
*Terrible customer service, employee was very rude to me.* This is the fourth time I’ve gone and the first three times were pleasant. Their coffee and bakery is pretty good, maybe some of the best European style in VB. But today a worker there was unnecessarily rude. He’s always there, so I think he could be a manager. Today was kinda busy, so I didn’t think much of it when 15 minutes passed and I still hadn’t gotten my coffee. I saw everyone getting theirs so I thought I’d be next. A worker comes to me and asks “Did you order a cortadito?” and I say no, because I ordered a macchiato. I figured maybe they had made a cortadito but didn’t know who it was for. Another 5 minutes pass and my mom goes up to ask how much longer my coffee will be and the worker rudely insisted I hadn’t ordered a coffee? He comes over and says “I asked if you ordered a coffee and you said no”. To which I responded “no you asked if I ordered a cortadito and I said no”. And he said “yeah, I asked if you ordered a coffee or a cortadito”. And so I told him I ordered a macchiato. And he very sarcastically said “I will get you a macchiato; it’s my pleasure”. So this worker tried to gaslight me and then was super rude when he realized he was wrong. I work in the service industry too, so I have a hard time empathizing with him just cuz it was a busy Sunday. People need to just be nicer.

Unfortunately after my 3rd visit it was disappointing. The restaurant was unkept. They ran out of bread to make certain dishes. The food was ok. I ordered the eggs Benedict this time with an espresso. The place was quiet and you can hear people complaining as they waited over 20 minutes for their food. Not at all like the previous 2 times where low music was playing. Restaurant was clean, customer service was friendly.
This was my 3rd time here and I wanted to share this place w my husband, unfortunately it was extremely disappointing. There was no bread available, however we were able toSubstitute with another option instead of waiting 20 minutes as the previous customers. The restaurant was in shambles (it was appx 10:30am) dirty floors, we had to clean our chairs from food. As for the food, it has been good the last 3 times, freshly made. Add A little salt and pepper & it gets the job done. Oddly silent, no vibe, nice place to get breakfast quickly if that’s your goal. Customer service is subpar, no greeting, young ladies, and on their phones. Quite a few people walked out and asked for refunds. Defit not the same experience as when they 1st opened.
We arrived and there was a no bread , a main item that you would think they would have at a bakery which serves most of their sandwiches with bread . Some tables and the floor were dirty and with residual food from prior guests or the day before . The ambience was none , no music playing, just an awkward silence . The food was good once I received it . I will return as I think this was just a flux in service .
The food was really good, and the decor is really cool. However, the service was not great. There were 2 young ladies working the front who never left from being within 2 feet of each other. They barely wanted to make eye contact let alone be polite. Not to mention one of them had 4in. finger nails which is odd for food service. Food was good in all honesty but doubtful I’d go back.
A little pricey. However, very good. Customer Service was a little off. Maybe she was having a bad morning. Not sure. 🤷♀️
Great place for an early breakfast when you are in Virginia Beach. They open bright and early and their breakfast options are amazing! The dessert choices are fantastique!
Sloppy customer service. Freshness of the pastries is a hit or miss. The few times I have been there I haven’t felt the presence of management. It’s a shame because it has potential.
Great atmosphere! Tasty and phenomenal food at a fair price. Will definitely comeback!
Delicious food with a lot of options
Horrible customer service. I went with my mom expecting amazing service. We waited over 45min to be served!!!. I asked the cashier he kept giving me excuses; meanwhile, the other tables that came way after me kept getting their food. Finally, I asked them to cancel and refund the money. They kept the tip money!!! They asked you to pay in advanced. I noticed the bill was not refunded completely when I got home. Horrible experience!!. If you go make sure you ask them how long it will take and bring a camping tent in case they decide to go hunting for the ingredients.
I really like the pastries here, but was very disappointed on my last visit. They were out of oranges so they had no orange juice. I ordered a croissant and wanted jam to go with it, they were out of jam. I overheard someone else unhappy with their coffee and were not offered a solution.
